Thank you! That was my Christmas gift to myself. The actual artwork should be arriving in a few weeks and will be framed and up on my wall shortly after that.

Actually, Roland was my very first DA alt. He was a mage and after being dumped my Alistair decided to go out in a blaze of glory, thanks to the mod that prevents you-know-who from doing you-know-what.

some Roland/Alistair derp in the tower of Ishal. This Rogue Roland (usually I play him a warrior) is a very very angry young man who isn't so very understanding of Alistair's grief for Duncan and the GW's since he had to be dragged out of Highever by Duncan. Their freindship is off to a rocky start to say the least.

So two derps today. I've started another Marlana playthrough (HNF rogue) just last night. Got two derps. Sorry for the first one being small, it was in combat and couldn't get it to zoom right.







The next one is with the wounded soldier. He's eyeballing her instead of watching the soldier. Alistair is probably wondering how she got her hair so shiny.

Maybe I have not looking hard enough, but that hairstyle ^ (I'm not a girl, so I don't know how to describe it. Stylish bob?) isn't included in the "More Hairstyles" pack found on Nexus. Is it in the "Don't worry, be Hairy"?

and a Duncan derp (I chose the "Are we done" in the "don't get caught pickpocketing" lecture from Duncan). I can imagine Roland is going to be a handful...and probably was as a small boy in Highever too. Maybe death was a relief for Bryce and Eleanor this time.

Randi's final blog is done.  And combining the ending of her story with Rage's prompt, "On a clear, moonlit night..." here's a my fill:

A Promise Kept

“Kadan?” Sten asked, coming to stand beside Randi as she stood looking out over the rail of the ship.

She tore her eyes away from the moon’s reflection off the surface of the water and turned her attention to her travelling companion. “Yes, Sten?”

“You have been quiet these past few days, quite unlike yourself. Are you alright?”

“Just thinking,” she said, sighing heavily.

“About?” he asked, worry worming into his voice.

“Him.”

“Him being Alistair, I presume?”

She nodded and turned her face away to stare back out over the water. “I was such an ass to him, never taking his feelings into account, never stopping to think about how my actions might affect him.”

“That is your way, is it not? Your shell, so to speak. Your protection, yes?”

“But—“ she began.

“That is all,” Sten said, interrupting her. “Yours was not an easy life before becoming a Warden, yes?”

She didn’t reply, the lump in her throat making it impossible to speak. And she’d be damned if she would let Sten see her cry like a child.

“He knew that. We all did. You did what you did to survive, as did the rest of us. And he, probably more than any other, understood that.”

She wiped the unshed tears from her eyes and turned to stare up at the giant beside her, scowling. “Now you’re just making up stories, Sten. You should stop as you’re not very good at it.”

“I speak the truth, Kadan. He talked about you to the rest of us, on more than one occasion. He even helped me understand why you are the way you are. He said no one who hadn’t grown up in a world where no matter how hard you tried, you could never be good enough to earn the respect of those around you, could ever understand the life you’d led.”

“He said that, truly?” she asked, shocked.

Sten nodded. “Yes.”

“I just wish I had been more kind to him. He deserved some kindness and all I gave him was a hard time!”

Sten chuckled, a deep rumble in his chest. “I do not think he would have known what to do with a kind and gentle Randi.”

“No,” replied Randi, a slight smile crossing her face. “I suppose not.”

Sten stood with her in silence a moment longer before he turning and making his way below deck, pleased to see her humor returning. Randi stayed at the railing, her eyes travelling up to the heavens and the moon shining so brightly in the night sky. A lone tear escaped down her cheek.

I will keep my promise, Alistair. I shall never forget you or what you did for all of Thedas… and for me.

@Jon Jern - Yeah, it's the Don't Worry Be Hairy #3. Some of the folks in cme's group used it for their wardens and I fell in love with the look. And the hair color is CC's White. I couldn't stand the vanilla "white" since it looked more gray.



@Sylvan - Oh my goodness, I don't think I've gotten that expression on him before. Too funny.

@Reika - I know right? Leave it to Randi to all of a sudden turn nicey-nice at the end of the game! What completely blew me away though was Sten calling her Kadan at the end. He was still neutral towards her and that was the first time he'd called her that the entire game. I actually cried -- after an entire playthrough of total silliness and nothing but laughs, this stupid game still managed to hook me emotionally in the end.

@Rak - I'm just glad I didn't have to see him get executed. I've never seen that and never want to. I'm glad Tupp got the Drunkistair... at least he's alive.

But all in all, this was a great run. I saw so many things I'd never come across before.

+4? I think that may be the highest any of have gotten with him, lol. He's currently at -34 hostile with mine and she hasn't even talked to him!

I used their special gifts and actually had Alistair all the way up to +11 by the end. But without the gifts he would have been in hostile territory I'm sure.

I'm still in the korcari wilds! I was a bit negative, then had a few pluses. Rolling actual dice for this, which seems to be working well.

hi everyone, im new here. i really love the storys and pictures. i have a question and maybe you can help me as you might have experienced this as well.

I have played the game on the X-BOX ( german version ) when i meet flemeth for the first time and she asks me if i belive and what i believe in. then i have 4 choices to answer. 4th answer is " sometimes you don't have to believe you just have to accept it " (translated from german into english )

and when i played the englsih PC version there is no such choice to answer.

Does anyone know why this is? i have several mods does this maybe influence this?

Tigress, that was a nice touch to add to Randi.  Di would not be that way, in the end she really didn't care about anything, even what she was going to do.

LadyD, +4 with Alistair? You might have a chance at the tent yet. Well...better than the rest of us did anyway.  And my monoply die evidentally did not like him.

@Moogie, I have seen that line, but I think my character was over a certain level of cunning to see it. 20+ I think.

that option is available if your cunning is 30 or above.
