Ok, someone help me with this. I didn't make Alistair a king and talked to him about the dark ritual and he referred to himself as king. I've tried 2 dialogue patches and he still refers to himself as king. Is there a fix for this? So far, I haven't found one. Does it screw up the ending too. Bioware really messed up big time on that one.

The king bug won't mess up your ending but IRS-A will fix it.

I had that too! He was also wearing King's armour during the coronation when Anora was the Queen, for me.

I have that IRS and I still get it. Maybe I need to reinstall it. I'll try that.

Really? Do you have any other dialogue fix mods installed? Maybe there is a conflict?

I have other mods installed but they were installed with IRS and he still refers to himself as king. Normally it wouldn't be a problem because I usually make him king, but hmmm. I wonder what mods could be affecting it. Oh well everything but that works. Guess Bioware should have worked on their game more. That is a glaring bug. Another thing I didn't like is that none of the companions are with the warden, especially Alistair, when Anora makes the speech.

If you haven't already done so, check the readme for IRS. Some of the other mods like ZDF, Qwinn's Fixpack or anything that modifies the alistair_main dialogue file will conflict but the readme will tell you how to make some of them work together.

I don't have any of them installed so there aren't any conflicts that I can see. No matter what I turn on or off, there is no affect. I just had to live with it and hope it doesn't screw up my epilogue.

@Kyle - We'll take art over screenshots any day. That's a great piece of work. I love how even Ali's hair has succumbed to the rain by dropping down in front. Too cute!

And since I don't have anything close to drawing talent... it will just have to be screenies from me. LOL

This was Randi making her first Ogre kill in the Tower of Ishal. I included the whole screen in the first shot because I'm proud that everyone was alive after doing that fight on Nightmare with no reloading required (Randi was just THAT awesome LOL).

Okay, finally got my perfect Alistair ending though Anora spoke of him as being dead when he was standing right next to her (great job Bioware). He was also dressed in king's armor, hmm, but he did stay with the Grey Wardens in the end. I can't believe that they didn't get the endings correct. It's ten minutes of coding but at least he stayed with me and I got my happily ever after.

Tigress, if you are unhappy with your mage, this mod is your friend. You can easily replace a newly created (temporary) character face with the existing one without having to bother with complicated procedure. It's just three clicks.

That's so weird.  I haven't had that issue for a long time.  I think the second or third patch from Bioware fixed it for me (Or I could be wrong and IRS fixed it)  Something fixed it for me and as I started patching and modding at the same time, I can't really say what it is.  There must be a conflict in your files somewhere.  The last time I made Anora queen, she was in Redcliffe right before the run to Denerim, everyone called her queen, Alistair was really damn glad she was and he wasn't.  The ONLY one who said something about Alistair being king was a very confused Morrigan who was begging Neria to convince him to do the ritual, using the "Do you think as the future king he will fail to do his duty..." I just facepalmed epically and continued despite the immersion breaking.
I didn't have the heart left to tell him it may be a child resulting from that (since as we all know sex doesn't make babies, it's the good Fade spirits that deliver them right?) and so I don' tknow if Alistair would have mentioned her having an 'heir to the throne'.
Yes Bioware Epic Failed after the Landsmeet.  I blame it on the bongwater in their water coolers

Alistair actually got most of the killing blows in my latest Neria run.  It was a competition between him and Zevran who would get the blows.  Zevran got the AD but Alistair got the HD!  A very bloody RDT pic!

See, I didn't get the Morrigan thinking Alistair was king thing. Isn't that weird. Anora was in Redcliffe and Alistair was standing next to me and Rhiodan did not call him king. So all of that was fixed. It was just the epilogue, dead Alistair when he was alive, and Alistair dressed in king's armor. I have the ultimate edition and I have IRS too and all the files that were included with it. It must have been a bioware patch that fixed it but I would have thought that they would have included it with the download of the Ultimate Edition. Obviously not but I'm happy with the ending and this I will import into Awakenings and finally into DA2. Tere is a very powerful mage and Irving was happy to see his star pupil rise to hero status. I would love to see Bioware do something more with Origins. I mean even if people made Alistair king, he is still a Grey Warden, and such it is his duty to do Grey Warden work. So it would work, they'd just need to have the possible beginnings, Alistair is king alone, Alistair is married to Anora, Alistair is drunken man in tavern, Alistair is dead is easiest lol. The Grey Warden is always the same so no problem there unless they warden took the killing blow and then they just start out with a new warden. I'd buy it. I love Alistair for all of his traits more than Kaidan. They are both my favorite LI in any games I've played. They even beat out Carth.

@Meri - I saw you updated your profile with your new Meri (noticed the eyebrows were fixed). That's GREAT that Schratty helped you out. Rage has kindly volunteered to help me with Calea, but I have a feeling I might use what he gives me to redo my canon 'cause I know what he makes will be way more awesome than anything I ever manage to do on my own. And thanks for that link... I was going to head off and find that mod when I got done checking in here so you saved me a search!

Yeah, the eyebrows were bothering me for some time now. Also Lenya's face shape is a bit different and more like I wanted it to be, the preset I used for her before was very good...but it wasn't a face I made.... just a preset. Okay I didn't make her new face as well...but she is newly created now and a big step closer to what I envision her to look like ^^

You are welcome, Tigress....the face replacer mod is a bit more refined with more options than this one, but I just wanted a quick change of Lenya's look...since I can now create her in 5 minutes in the CC..thanks to the preset I have of her.

Thats a complicated hair style.  I got it working  with all of the colors in my game, but I'm not even sure how I did that.

Well for me that hairstyle isn't even showing up for human females after placing the folder in overrides. Odd. Okay since I play humans almost.... uuum... never, that is not much of a problem for me...but it is still odd.

It's a pain to get installed, I had to manually put the filename in when choosing hairstyles in the toolset, but it worked. No problem with different haircolours, either
