23 - not kidding. Age ranges from 11 to 18.  One group on the X Box, one group watching movies and I really didn't want to know what the 18 yr old crowd was getting up to at the pool. Legal drinking age here is 17 (really, we don't have one), so that crowd brought their own. I think I did hit the tequila a few times during that night. Zinfandel, Queen, is a very dry red wine. Edit again for the wrong name (sorry). It took awhile because I had to decide between a Chilean Syrah and an Italian Sangeovese. Chose the syrah, but it's a little young yet.

edit - totally ninja'd. And on top again! Quickly searches for some smut.

Don't smoke either but I'm with you LadyD. The smell of good cigar/pipe tabac dipped in brandy reminds me of my childhood.

Can't be in the same hemisphere as cigars. 3 whiffs and I get an asthma attack. I have bolted out of so many restaurants (smoking was legal anywhere until this year).

Australian wines are really good. Especially the whites.

Pipe tobacco smells astoundingly good. I'm not a habitual smoker, but every-once-in-awhile, it's nice to have a good cigar. If I'm not too lazy (or if someone else doesn't beat me to it first), I'll see what I can do about making that Alistair happen for you ladies

I'don't smoke, but I enjoy a good glass of Port or a Islay single Malt, and the smell of a good cigar ...

Fosters the beer I'm assuming?  Never tried it myself I'm afraid.  I tend to stick to one brand that I really like which is this Scottish beer, Innis & Gunn

@ Cat - yep, love the Aussie wine, though for white, I tend to go for the German Reisling.

Now to stay on topic, I wonder what kind of drink Alistair would prefer?

Ceb, yep. The Aussies come over during the summer to race here, then head back in the winter to race there. And their favorite beer is Fosters. Even though it's "watered down" over here, they still love to drink it. That and Bud.

As for what Alistair would prefer, are we talking happy Alistair, or Drunkenstair? Happy I would guess Mike's Hard Lemonade, but Drunkenstair I think wouldn't care what he was drinking.

See, right back to the Zinfandel or Italian Montepulciano. Once he's king, I could see him with a nice single malt. I don't even want to know what Mike's Hard Lemonade is.
