I seem immune to the trouble that people have in not going with a certain romance, or playing as an origin/gender they dont like in Dragon Age.



To be honest I am very meh on the Alistair and Morrigan romance. I enjoyed them while I played them but I much prefer Zevran and Leliana's Romance to be honest.

I had finally gone through the whole Zev romance, Giggles, and really liked it. The whole thing was so heartfelt, and it surprised me very much, was really well done.

I *thought* I was going to be doing a Zev run this time around, but all the Ali hate while playing Randi, combined with the Drunkistair run I did with Bera just prior to that had me missing my Alistair wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much. I'd say I'll try one next playthrough, but that's got to be a human so I can play with all the new hair, and since I'm playing a mage right now, that will mean she's going to be a HN and well... all my HNF's belong to Alistair.

But, I promise, by the time DA2 gets here, I will have done at least one solo Zev romance from start to finish. Warden's honor!

Its very easy to avoid:

Play a human hating elf who does not even want to be near humans. Played much easier as a City Elf.

It took me by surprise to be honest.

I enjoyed Zevran's romance and really the BEST part is post-Landsmeet really.

Can't say I had any trouble romancing other characters or doing other Origins. I am guilty though of having not done the Zevran romance yet (which I actually have reserved for my DE that's been put on hold atm) and the DC/DN origin (which I will eventually do once I finish my other current/on hold playthroughs).



But hands down, my favourite playthrough is still HN romancing Alistair.



@ Hilde - I'm looking forward myself romancing Zev. I've only heard good things about it.

@Giggles - I would do just that next if all the cool hair I want to play with wasn't human only atm. LOL

@Hilde - I really want to do the romance from start to finish with him. I've romanced him a few times after I've let Ali break up with my Warden or in the two playthroughs where I wound up with a Drunkistair, but I've never done a complete Zev only game.

That was my thought. I just have to hold off until I can pick up Zev. Of course, I sabotage myself by stripping Alistair down to his boots and making him run through the snow. Guess what, it's not that cold:devil:

Sky ~ I agree. I have romanced everyone at one time or another, but my favorite is Zevran, especially with the EM (points at Ewan) as if you did not know.

Tigress ~ Zevran is worth a solo romance. He really is!

But....I should stop now, lest I be thrown out !!

Edit: Giggles! Zevran is so HOT when he fights as champion! Nice post!

  Loghain is all sorts of awesome in Mistakes.  And I recommend the story for far more than Loghain, he's just a delightful added bonus.

Edit: And lest anyone think I've lost my mind or sustained a blow to the head, it is an Alistair-centric fic.
