Just wanted to make a comment, if you are color blind the color based puzzles are going to frustrate the heck out of you.

yeah two of the puzzles tripped me up cause i didn't realize 2 of the switches were completely different colors. After beating the DLC i have to say though i'm a lil disappointed that all we got was a mace. I don't even use maces ever with my files. Was thinking Golem's might could've been a nice enhancement for Shale or something  Image IPB. Glad i brought my King Consort Warden out of retirement but was only able to cap my xp at lvl 35 since it wouldn't go any higher when i entered I was lvl 34. Got about 2hrs out of a $5 DLC was it worth it. Yes. Was i sastified with the rewards that would be a big NO. Hoping they release a new expansion soon or maybe a Add-on Module to play as Duncan so we can get his robes like we should've gotten in Ostagar for our Warriors/Rogues.

Ok I gave in a bought it. A bad mistake since its not worth it unless you want some mindless hack ‘n slash fun. Even the puzzles are not really much to figure out and it gives you the answer for one of them.

I’m getting sick of these reused locations. Why is it that Mass Effect 2 can get new locations like with Overlord (for a recent example) but yet with all the Dragon Age downloads we get recycled crap?
-Deep Roads Grotto where this one starts is just Ortan Thaig with some slight cosmetic changes like where Ruck’s cave should be.

-Amgarak is nothing more than a reused Kal’Hirol (from Awakenings) again with some slight cosmetic changes. The room with the first big black ball is with the blue crystals is where you found that human in the cage.

-Reskined enemies, you’ll spot the revenant clones fast enough with the same attacks even. The only new one you encounter is the “boss” one.

-Tactics under the Presets, well don’t bother looking for any since all you get is Default and Custom.

-Not much of a story at all really even with the interesting ending and potential future things that can be done here. It is beatable under 2 hours.

-Great way to start the mission as well with no traveling or a quick stopover to a store to get rid of anything in your inventory you might want to get rid of to make room for new stuff. You just start off right at the entrance to the first location. So be prepared and have at least half your backpack empty.

The only two real saving graces that might be worth paying for this:
-This thing will be a royal pain in the rear on Nightmare for sure if your using a non healer since this doesn’t provide you one in your group. So be sure to make sure you have a lot of healing potions in your import Warden.

-The reward (so far the only thing I found in my inventory) you get for finishing this is finally something for a mage to use. Something a starting mage should be able to use I might add.

I’m sorry, but is this really the best we can expect out of BioWare for downloadable content? Personally I’m getting a bit annoyed with the near vapor ware content made just to make a quick buck out of the gaming community. Take a lesson from other developers that actually know how to do the download thing with content examples from Bethesda and Oblivion and Fallout 3, or the makers of Borderlands (Gearbox/2K Games). These 2 hour or less mission/quests are getting really old really fast.

Its funny how you come out of the woodwork everytime a DLC comes out and whine about it.

Don't buy the DLC then.   Its that simple.:D

I'm not color blind and I had trouble, I didn't realize the different colors.

Just started downloading it from PSN. I don't know if PSN is having a lot of users download DLC (because other games like red dead redemption have had DLC come out as well today) or if my connection is just being unrelieable (which I don't think.) But, the ETA on the download just increases, at the start I had 45 minute download time, 10% in 100 minute ETA, currently 25% done with an ETA of 145 minutes. It isn't shifting back and forth between high and low speeds, my ETA is just slowly raising.

He does have a point, though... this was a bit dissapointing. There wasn't even any Big Decision at the end.

Other DLC had Big Decision:
Warden's Keep Kill Avernus or use him? Kill Sophia or honor your deal?

Ostagar: Give Cailan a funeral for his bravery? Send him to the wolves to cleanse his memory? Leave him to the Darkspawn for his foolishness?

Even Leliana's song let you choose whether to yell bitterly and kill the final boss, say that you're just here to do what's right, or let your companion kill the final boss.

This one has barely any dialogue, and no character building :(

I think of it this way....

In my neck of the woods a matinee at the movies costs $7.25

It was $5.00 and gave me a solid 70 minutes of play and I have yet to play it on Hard and Nightmare mode.

I enjoyed it for what it offered and it offers some replay value.

Seems one of the golem research scrolls has no effect whatsoever: Mechanics is supposed to "boost performance" but has no discernible effect at all: it doesn't add any skill, hp, stamina, stats...

I believe that one adds two levels, letting you assign attribute points.

That would explain why it did not do anything, if you are already level 35 the golem already scaled to that level so you are maxed out already.

Ah yes that's why then, was already 35 when I started the DLC. I wonder if I'll ever beat it on hard, those harvested corpses are a nuisance...

So I'm going to ask a question that I see HAS been asked before here but absolutely no one has answered it fully. In the DLC download section under Golems of Amgarrak it says:

"Earn powerful rewards that transfer into your Awakening and Origins campaign"

What does this mean? Does it mean that if I download this new DLC that it will add new items and content into the regular origins and awakenings game? Can I start a new game of Origins and find some new cool items in the store shops? Does it even alter anything in game for Origins or Awakenings or does it only add achievment awards? Do I have to play the DLC to get any of these "rewards"? Can I play Origins first, then this DLC and then when I transfer to Awakenings I'll have the stuff from the DLC? If there is no save at the end, how do you keep anything you find after defeating the end boss to bring into Awakenings when you transfer your character?

Can anyone explain exactly what they meant by "powerful rewards transfer into Origins and Awakenings"?

I prefer something that enhances my enjoyment of the main game of Origins and Awakenings (like the DLC's Stone Prisoner, Return to Ostagar, Blood Dragon Armor, Feastday gifts and Wardens' Keep. If it adds nothing to the main game and is basically a stand alone then I won't be getting it. Can someone give more insight please.

There are a couple of items that are unlocked and there for you to use in DAO and Awakening.

For example, after beating Darkspawn Chronicles, when you play DAO or Awakening, you have the sword, "Blightblood" in your inventory right from the start.

Same thing with Lelianna's Song, same thing with Golems of Amgarrak.

There is a "item" given to origin and awakening characters for every achievement that you unlock. Does that answer your question?

I assume they are like level 20...

Which is what a new character would start at.

In this DLC you can find 3 special items(might be more nobody knows of?) but once you find those items in this DLC they will be automatically added to your inventory in both Origins and Awakening. Yes I believe you have to play this DLC and find those items in order to get them in Origins and Awakening but I could be wrong. The items once earned are added to the inventories of all your existing characters without needing to start a new game.....you know.....routine....same as all the other trillion individual items before. There's no loot from the end boss....just a cutscene that ends the DLC but you'll have plenty of chances to save after obtaining all the items.

I was thinking of picking this up but a quick question: At the beginning can we import a pre-made warden and modify how they look in the character creation stage? I was thinking of making my warden look a little older............

I asked this before the thread was updated and didn't check back in time. Thanks all!

They are not the very best but deffinitely some of the best out there.....even if you don't put them on your warden they are certainly awesome stuff for your party.

the party members started at the level my warden was at.  So my warden came into the game at level 23, and so did Jerrik.

Really? My warden was level 35, and I am almost certain that the dwarfs were not... Maybe I'm wrong, I wasn't really paying attention, but they didn't seem very high level.

You can not moddify pre-existing characters. It's like when you import into awakening, your character is there. You can't change how they look, but the items that are with you character, for the most part, transfer.

Thanks for the info! I guess there's no way to do so modding wise for a 360, right?
