I finally figured out how to register my game, and I was wondering if someone could answer a few questions for me here. First, do you ever meet up with your brother during the course of the game - and if so where? I'm at the Landsmeet at the moment, and the thought of not finding out what happened to him is starting to be a rather big let down. Is there something I need to do first to find him?

Also, I know there are many topics about what happens at the Landsmeet but I remember someone stating that you can in fact keep Loghain alive and not have Alistiar throw a hissy fit over it if you harden him up during his personal quest. Is this true? And if so how does hardening his personality affect his relationship with the PC? (Both romantic and platonic.)

Thanks!

I don't know. I'd like Alistiar to marry Anora *and* keep Loghian alive, but I don't know if it's possible.

You have to pick Alister or Loghain. You can't have both.

AFAIK there is no hardening up Alister. Though I have to admit I never tried.

From what I've been hearing you can harden his personality during his small personal quest and that it does make it easier to put him on the throne. Yet I've also heard one person mention that it might also help you keep Loghain alive during the Endgame - without losing Alistiar in the process. I'm mostly just curious if anyone has tried this, or has the guide, and can provide some clarification on the issue. Chances are it's one of those silly game rumors that develop as people try to figure out these kinds of things, but I just want to check and make sure. xD

You do HAVE to choose between Allistair and Loghain once that points reaches. Allistair also is "hardened" when meeting his sister and you tell him everyone is out for themselves. As for your brother you do meet him, but only at the end of the game, as in game over here's the ending for you.

Alright then, I guess that settles that. Thank you both for your replies. ^_^

And leaving your brother out until the actual ending feels incredibly cheap! >__> I had a lot of fun reconnecting with my family and friends during the return to the Alienage portion of the Main Quest while playing as a City Elf, and was hoping to see something similar happen for my Human Noble.. Blast it all... Oh well, thank you again for clarifying the matter.

Yes, you can harden up Alistair via her personal quest.

I don't want both Alistiar and Loghian. I want Anora on the throne and Alistiar looking pretty and knocking her up (about all he's good for) while Loghian and I take on the darkspawn.
