Hey Bioware. Up these edition sizes so YOU can make more money, and these turdlings who buy more than one to make profit DON'T make money.
They have upped the amount of lithographs since they have begun. The first one of Saren and Captain Anderson was limited to 100 and only 75 of those were available for purchase. From there I think they went from 150-200-300-400... That is if my memory serves.

keep an eye out. We've been in talk with BioWare Jedi (I think that's his name) and they are looking into orders of people who bought at least 3 or more lithographs. They may refuse those b/c of the Ebay issue and limit their number ordered
Nowhere on the site does it indicate a limited number to any one purchaser.

easy does it. I'm just stating that BioWare is working on the growing problem of people buying these to turn around and sell for profit. With it being a growing issue they are trying to help their fans out in the best way they can.

I hope this is the case. This actually looks interesting enough to buy.slagathor1244486 wrote...

Then they should have limited numbers to begin with. Retroactively snubbing someone that paid is bad business.
I totally agree with you. They are in a bad position right now because a lot of people are angered by that tactic. So it will be interesting to see what happens this weekend. Either way I'll bet they do start instituting a limit poilicy in the future.

Future policy is fine if they do that, and I agree there. What I don't agree with is people getting miffed over others that took advantage of the deal at hand. If anything they should direct their fire at BioWare for not taking the initiative to do this ahead of time. Knowing full well that limited edition prints bring high demand they could have prevented this right from the start.

yeah I'm surprised they haven't done this already (limiting quantity). There are already listings for the Korlus print on ebay for $150 but last I checked it is still in stock on the store website. So it's not like this is a new issue, just seems to be a bigger one now b/c the Normandy print is really nice

Now, if they were to get rid of this ridiculous cap, I would purchase one. I really doubt these are going to be worth any money in 20 years.
How about REPRINTING as a poster instead of a litho? That way, in the future, you could separate the people who just want a poster, and those that want something nice to hang in a frame.

I think subject matter has much to do with desirability, too. Nobody really cares about a cracked up freighter that has a minute part in the overall scheme of the story. The Normandy on the other hand, that's central to the story as a whole (so far).
I have discussed a limit with Jed in private (the head guy for the lithos I assume) and they will monitor orders. There weren't that many that were over 3 and those over 3 he's going to take a look at and possibly reduce their order number so they are putting kind of putting a cap.
500 was a reasonable number. Korlus and Wards were 400 and they took awhile to get sold. Korlus is still up if you want one. They probably didn't think the Normandy would sell this well. Keep in mind though that having more out there decreases its value so they probably wanted a lower limited number.

Too little too late. I appreciate their predicament, but it's theirs and not the people that bought them in any quantity. They should have stated that beforehand plain and simple.

I suppose this was inevitable, though: similar problems with ticket touts buying up concert tickets is a decades-old problem, for example, and with the rise and rise of the games industry, the same thing is going to happen with anything collectible.
