If you are a real Mass Effect player, you own both games and imported your character from ME1. I personally have a canon playthrough, which is how the story turns out in my personal Mass Effect universe. My other playthroughs are just experiments to see the alternatives. Anyhow, do you have a canon playthrough? And how does it go (decisions, romances etc).

My canon Shepard is Paragon and a Male Soldier (I can't stand Renegade, it's just awful).

In ME1:
I let the Rachi Queen live.
I spared the colonists and Shiala on Feros.
I saved Kaidan (and Captain Kirrahe) on Virmire.
Wrex lives.
I punched the interviewer in the face.
I had a romance with Liara.
I saved the Council and the Destiny Ascension.
I made Captain Anderson humanity's councilor.

And then I did most of the minor Paragon decisions (like letting most people live, but I killed some, like Fist, Jeong and Helena Blake).

In ME2:
I recruited all squadmates.
I got the loyalty of everyone.
Everyone survived the suicide mission.
Got reinstated as a Spectre.
I kept the genophage cure just in case.
I again punched the interviewer in the face.
I reprogrammed the Heretics.
I helped Liara kill the Observer.
I had a romance with Miranda (therefor being unfaithful).
I destroyed the Collector base.

And then I did most of the minor Paragon decisions again.

Is your canon playthrough Manshep or Femshep?

I have a canon Paragon and canon Renegade. My Paragon is identical to yours, except he humiliated the reporter with words both times rather than hitting her, had no romance in ME1 and a fling with Miranda in ME2. (Adept in ME1, Sentinel in ME2.)

My renegade is a Femshep that secretly always wanted to join Cerberus because she considers Terra Firma to be amateurs when it comes to galactic superiority. Yet, she didn't punch the reporter either. (Infiltrator in both games.)

One thing I wrestled with was putting Udina in charge - a true
renegade hates politicians, and so would want to give Anderson the top
spot regardless. I found an interesting rationale for choosing Udina as
renegade shep though.

And then I did most of the minor Paragon decisions (like letting most people live, but I killed some, like Fist, Jeong) Talked Helena Blake into retiring, she's now a social worker on Omega.



In ME2:

I recruited all squadmates.

I got the loyalty of everyone.

Everyone survived the suicide mission.

I kept the genophage cure just in case.

I again talked circles around the interviewer.

I reprogrammed the Heretics.

I helped Liara kill the Observer.

I had a romance with Jack (most people call this being unfaithful, but it's made clear on Horizon: It's over.).

I both destroyed and kept the Collector base (Different save, originally I kept it, but it was such an important decision that I saved, loaded to before the final Boss and destroyed it.)



And then I did most of the minor Paragon decisions again.



I figure the Collectors had more weapons/tech in that base than just how to make Reapers, and if TIM used it for anything but fighting the Reapers I'd track him down and kill him.

[Emperor Mars]

I think this one is mars shepard....(I use Mars as all my primary playthroughs with most games, easier to keep track of this way.)

Started romance with ash, then threw it away at absulute last minute (saved the game right before lockdown, in case I decided to keep that LI later)

ME2
Got all squadmates, kept all squadmates alive.
Uhm lets see...
Told moridan to try and cure, or atleast work on genophage.
Thanes issue was taken care off using the interupt.
Went with workers on Zaeeds mission.
"fixed" Geth on legions mission...oh and kept legion.
Kept Tali from getting exiled, kept that kal reeger (right spelling?) alive. Gave that crazy quarian in the begining back to the quarians.
Killed Morinth, kept samara.
Had jacobs father kill himself
Told Jack not to kill that other guy.--on an off note, on all playthroughs with this character, I would somehow wind up in a almost romance subplot with jack, but always went with a different character.
Didnt let Garrus kill whats his name.
took the nuetral route with Kasumis graybox, destroyed but in a goodish way.
Romanced Tali (Hated miranda, Jack fit better with other playthroughs, got the shaft with ME1 LI's)
Helped Liara.
Destroyed collector base but did not have joker loose the channel...if that makes any difference.
Regained spectre status

Then I got renegade soldier shepard (all renegade choices basically,
dont remember LI). and then Paragade sentinal shepard (makes paragon big
desicions, but will take mostly renegade small choices, like pushing
the merc out the window. LI is jack)

Then there are a handful of unimportant other shepards that I playthrouh to check out classes

-all loyalty missions were complete (Jack let Aresh live, Jacob turned his father to the Alliance, Garrus let Sidonis go free, Samara killed her daughter, Miranda spoke with her sister, Tali was pardoned without anyone knowing the truth)
- I advised the quarians not to go to war
- Kal'Reegar and Veetor were safely back at the fleet
- romanced Tali
- the Geth were rewritten
- kept the genophage cure 
- Vido Santiago escaped, but Zaeed was still loyal
- Kasumi kept the graybox
- David was released
-all squadmates survived the Suicide Mission
- the Collector Base was destroyed
- chose to remain a Spectre
- told TIM to go to hell
- helped Liara, Shiala and Gianna

My basic rule for creating my "canon" player was to focus on Poster-characters, and make decisions that would make for the most compelling movie plotline:

I encouraged Garrus to be more renegade (Though I encouraged him not to sacrifice innocent lives)
I mostly used renegade persuasion options in conversation.

In ME2:
I recruited all squadmates.
I got the loyalty of everyone and was able to keep it after the confronations.
Everyone survived the suicide mission.
Got reinstated as a Spectre.
I kept the genophage cure just in case.
Made the reporter look stupid again.
I reprogrammed the Heretics.
I helped Liara kill the Observer.
I stayed with Liara.
I destroyed the Collector base.
Morinth, Maelon and Sgt Cathka are all dead, while Harkin is missing a kneecap.
Spared Aresh on Jack's loyalty mission and Sidonis on Garrus's.
Santiago and Vido escaped.
I threated the admiralty to get Tali acquitted, then told them not to go to war with the Geth.
Grunt killed the Thresher Maw.

Sent the alliance the information on the Cerberus operative
Saved: Sidonis, Jack's biotic buddy, Maelon, Niket, Heretics, and everyone else I could.

Looking back, there really weren't many big decisions in ME2, outside of the Collector Base. Many were big for the respective squaddies but no one else in the galaxy would've cared.
