Just thought I'd give the community something to bubble about.
It's nothing major but it's nice to leave something here, so long after the game's release.
Feel free to tell me how much I suck!

Nice battle, even though I didn't quite get why some of your characters have memorized very strange and (for this battle) rather useless spells
(Remove Curse? Why, Anomen?)
Still, 'tis quite an achievement to beat Firkraag in a straight fight on level 9, not even using summons. So Congratulations to you!

Thank you!
The reason there were odd spells memorized is that I already had spells I thought would be useful. Viconia is the better cleric and therefore had enough to cast the only useful buff in that level, regarding dragons (Protection from Fire), on the entire party, with the help of Anomen. Anomen had a miscast magic, a Protection from Fire and a Remove Paralysis (not curse) in that particular spell level, and while it may be cleaner to get rid of Remove Paralysis, there's no real reason to delete a spell from memory.
Same goes to all other characters. There are many "what if" spells in my repertoire that I found pointless in erasing, for fear that I might forget my spell choices for situations outside of dragon fights and such.

Well, for cleric level 3 spells, there is always the possibilty of taking an additional holy smite.
What difficulty level did you play on? Judging from Firkraags melee damadge, it seems to me like it could be core rules ?

Yes, although I seem to have gotten lucky with Firkraag's damage rolls.
I also make sure to get maximum HP rolls (ie a lot of reloading quicksaves).
As for holy smite, it's just one spell I never really used. It wouldn't really have helped much; Jan was only casting because he's weak in other areas; I couldn't get more lower resistances in because I needed two Improved Invisibilities. Chances are it would resist, but then again I never use it, so I wouldn't know if it'd use magic resistance in the mechanic.
