Something strange happened to my Stealing function. After installing patch 1.04 I noticed the cooldown was greatly reduced, to 3 s or so. Now I could steal so fast that some of the booty wouldn't even be reported on screen (although I did receive it). Stealing became really easy.

But today I had a CTD (while loading the Inn in Lothering). "daorigins.exe has found a problem as must now close". Just like any other CTD. However, after this one my stealing became like it was before 1.04, with an annoying cooldown of 10 s. Back to twiddling my thumbs between steal and steal.  

What do you make of this? Was it a glitch that got "fixed", ot was it a fix that got broken? Any way to get the short cooldown time back?

It fixed itself after reloading the game (not just a savegame but actually turning DAO off and on again). The correct cooldown after 1.04 is 1.5 s, as appears in the ability's mouse-over description. While I had my glitch it was 10 s (and so appeared when you moused over it). This is the old pre-1.04 value.
