Let's have a positivity thread!

In this thread we talk about what we're looking forward to in DA2. Or what we would like to see. There is NO NEGATIVITY and NO ARGUING allowed in this thread. Friendly debate? Only if it's civil. If you would like to post negative things about DA2, please make use of the 15 gazillion other threads open for your use, or go make your own. No, sarcasm does NOT count as positivity.

It's a refreshing change of pace, no? I'm not even a particularly bubbly person, look what you guys have done to me. :P

So I'll start. I'm really looking forward to....

...meeting the new companions. I mean, companions are the best part of a Bioware game in my humble opinion. Also, seeing some familiar faces. I'll be a little sad I can't talk to them like I know them, but I loved my party in Origins and Awakening and I'll be happy if I see them again.

...newly awesome-looking Qunari! I just hope there's a decent number of them in there.

...seeing new parts of Thedas. I hope we don't spend *too* much time in Kirkwall, because it had better be really big or really interesting if we do.

...polearms? Maybe? Please?

How about you?

Addendum: It's fine to have reservations, I mean I do myself. I just think the bad has been analyzed to death lately. I don't really care about the degree of anyone's positivity either. If you're only looking forward to one thing and hate everything else, well, just talk about that one thing in this thread then if you want. You don't need to be violently happy about everything. Inclusivity thread!

I've only ever seen threads like these degenerate into flame wars.

I hope and pray bows can be enchanted! That is one thing that annoys me about DAO and DAA, is I can't enchant weapons. also better combat system for the consoles. I played on the consoles and to put it nicely, it is ROUGH. Targeting an enemy is a hassle sometimes.

P.S. Nice Thread.

More Flemeth, she intrigued me the most, and was kind of sad at how little she was in Origins, even though she was mentioned alot by Morrigan.

Dialogue system, I know many people aren't really impressed with DA getting VO's but I'm excited that my charcter can actually interact with those around him/her.

Decade long story - Not sure how it will work but considering that Origins was say less than a year long (presumption) than DA: 2 should be pretty sweet. Also I think it brings into question will party members come & go? I mean if a story is going to last a decade you got to assume not all party members will want to stay with you for 10yrs. That is the one thing I'm truly interested and looking forward to.

So alright, who would you most want to see make an appearance out of the old companions? Me, I'll be happy to see any of them but if I were choosing I'd pick Sten, Alistair, and Nathaniel.

I didn't like some of the changes to ME2, but I AM REALLY looking forward to the changes of DA2.

All of them. Every last one.

Being called by name, having a voice, the combat. It's all exciting. Although I just know that your in game sister is going to die, because lets face it, she is the character for emotional impact to let you know the story is dark and serious.

I'm looking forward to seeing/interacting more with the re-designed Qunari (and really, I am secretly hoping for a female Tal'Vashoth romance companion =P). Also, as Anarya commented, I'm *really* looking forward to the new companions, whoever or whatever they are. They will be ridiculously awesome, of that I am fairly certain.

Looking forward to seeing exactly how my Origins choices might impact/be reflected in the game - even if its only minor.

The story. Because, for all the caveat people are having, I have no doubt the story will be fantastic.

I want spears and shields so I could actually "Fight like a Spartan" and I want my warrior allies who I also equip with a spear and shield to get next to me so we could make a phalanx and have a mage behind us shooting balls of fire.

Flemeth is pretty interesting. Somehow I get the feeling she's going to become a fixture of the DA franchise.

I'd pick Shale, Leliana, & Anders.  I can do without Oghren again though no, stay positiveImage IPB

@Anarya:Like the Geth of ME Series. Always in the game somehow.

And I want all knew characters in this game. I mean I liked the characters from DAO but that's the Warden's crew. I want Hawke's crew to be all original.

So many things.

Companions (always fun and exciting).

Romances-they go with companions

New gameplay (when I find out about it, I assume I'll be excited).

Gaider had a quote somewhere (I looked but couldn't find) where he talks about differing animations for different characters. I don't know if this extends to combat (it would be cool if it did), but I LOVE that people look different when they walk, run, and stand still.

Hm what if she just gets kidnapped temporarily like Bastila? I think it'd be interesting to go around with a family member. Usually the hero of a story like that is a sole survivor.

I think Bethany getting bumped off would be a bit lame, I prefer the dynamic of having a family member with you, plus I really hope they have a better story lined up than a revenge gig.
