Back to the positives, I want more Varric and Cassandra! Maybe it's because only the Hawkes and these two have been revealed, but they scream awesome. Varric is all-around amazing. Cassandra is actually ticking me off a little because it's like one of my ideas was stolen (female inquisitor searching for information on the main character... I was about to write a story on that!) Still, I like the concept art where Varric is sitting on the Chantry chair. Even while being interrogated, he's still smirking!

I didn't like some of the changes to ME2, but I AM REALLY looking forward to the changes of DA2.
All of them. Every last one.
Being called by name, having a voice, the combat. It's all exciting. Although I just know that your in game sister is going to die, because lets face it, she is the character for emotional impact to let you know the story is dark and serious.
Hm what if she just gets kidnapped temporarily like Bastila? I think it'd be interesting to go around with a family member. Usually the hero of a story like that is a sole survivor.
Absolutely. It opens up interesting banter between your group if you have someone who grew up with you and can tell embarassing stories or their ilk. From a story stand point the history with your character will give a nice point to launch things from, perhaps providing insight on your decisions from past events. E.g, free slaves, she mentions how when you were a kid you would free trapped animals from hunters traps or something. Sell slaves, how when you were a kid you used to catch animals and sell them to the slaughterhouse.
If she gets kidnapped, you know she's going to come back all corrupt and turn on you. It's BioWares way.

I think Bethany getting bumped off would be a bit lame, I prefer the dynamic of having a family member with you, plus I really hope they have a better story lined up than a revenge gig.
I have a feeling this one will be more political than personal. A sea change in the world at large instead of a vendetta.
Bethany just better not copy everything I do and the way I dress, like a real sister. *has a real sister*

Definitely looking foward to the new setting in the Free Marches and the new companions and any from Origins, Awakening and DLCs that make an appearance, and really looking foward to the changes they are doing to the console versions

oooh and the Mage finisherssquishy squishy
So alright, who would you most want to see make an appearance out of the old companions? Me, I'll be happy to see any of them but if I were choosing I'd pick Sten, Alistair, and Nathaniel.
I would actually like to see Alistair, Oghren and Nathaniel. That would be good. I am looking forward to seeing more of the world as well.

I like Oghren.
Don't get me wrong, I loved Oghren in Origins, but he was kind of a pill in Awakening, and he's had his time in the spotlight I think. Time for him to go raise the nugget.

I love the voiced main character. It'll be nice to see my character's face more often in-game. And I so hope we get more Claudia Black. I would have loved to have her as the female main character voice. (My last play-through inspired a full-series Farscape marathon!)
Claudia Black is great, but she always voices the "smoldery temptress" kind of character, at least in the games I've played. I'm thinking she might not be ideal for the PC, but she and Steve Valentine (and Simon Templeman) were my favorite performances in Origins so I'd love to see her back.

I'm glad that the game's console version won't be severely limited.
As someone who completed full playthroughs on the PS3 and the PC I heartily second this. I ended up using only 6 activated talents most of the time out of sheer laziness. Sloth demons got nothin' on me.

The dialogue wheel looks pretty tight. And of course magic finishers.
I can't wait to hear "The Couslands control almost all of Ferelden. They have both Teyrnirs, the Arling of Amaranthine, and the throne!"

Given the amount of general Anders-lust I hope they give us one in the future.
