- Seeing more of Thedas. The Free Marches and Kirkwall sound interesting so far.
- New Qunari! I like the redesign, and I really hope we get a female Qunari companion because they look awesome.
- Mage hats that do not look ridiculous. (Please, Bioware? I'll bake you cookies ...)
- Pole arms.
- Seeing Nathaniel Howe again. I don't expect him to stay for long since he's due in Amaranthine, but I look forward to his cameo.
- Having a sister. I really hope they don't kill her off or have her kidnapped in the first two hours of gameplay.
- A voiced protagonist. There are potential downsides, but it will be nice to actually talk.
- New companions. The writers have not disappointed me yet on this front, so I'm convinced that I'll love the new gang. Sure, there are some from Origins and Awakening I like less than others, but this is something BioWare does really well.

- A new story! I don't mind too much that it isn't the Warden, I look forward to learning about Hawke!
- Bethany - I have a sibling that is a companion too? WIN! Fingers crossed she doesn't die in the first half of the game!
- Qunari models. I think they look great!
- Voiced character, I think it was a bad move to begin with, but it could work. I'm sure it'll make the game more cinematic! Plus it'll help the flow of conversation (instead of hearing a long pause to see what my character can say).

If the dialogue system is like Leliana's Song, I'll remain positive. Honestly though, looking forward to this one although it reminds me of Fable. I have no idea why.
It'll be similar to Mass Effect's abbreviated wheel, although to make sure you understand what it means instead of having "No." lead you to punch people in the face they'll make that the middle of the wheel displays a picture to demonstrate what it represents.
For example, a fist icon when highlighting "No." represents something that's aggressive and you shouldn't as surprised when your character punches somebody in the face.

I have to agree with you on those points. A bunch of potentially interesting characters kept dying at the start of DAO, it'd be really nice to have one that will stick with you for a while.
The mage hats were horrible. I would help you bake them cookies if we got better ones. I don't care how strange armor and weapons look, but it irks me when my hairstyles/hat options all look horrible.
And new companions would be great. Im really hoping there will be a new Apostate of sorts.
Especially if its male, and romanceable

The story will be superb.
The characters deep and memorable.
The gameplay fun and addictive.
The graphics/world design out of this world.
BIOWARE, bring it on!!

- Better mage hats and robes.
- Enchantment slots on armour/robes. (Iv never herd anyone suggest it)
- Same dark and drab look as origins.
- A more useful animal companion.
- More silly banter.

lol is there a point to this? you're all going to buy it regardless, you can hop on your lil soap boxes and go wah wah wah about a buncha stuff you barely know squat about and at the end of the day you'll be the first in line to buy Dragon Age 2
Did you even bother to read what this thread is about? Wait no need to answer it's pretty obvious you didn't.

I was expecting an idiot like him.
Anyway the best is to ignore fools like that guy.
Back to the topic:
I like the game so far, based on thos few information we have.
I like that the companions will talk to you if something is on their mind.
I want to see some more life in the camp.
More hairstyle, tattoo (not just on the face), beards.

Game-wise, I'm looking forward to see how much we can customise Hawke and how they have improved the battle system.

The voiced character is something I did not like at first. I'm slowly warming up to the idea but I'll need to play it to see. It would be pretty nice for my PC to have facial expressions.

The writing, the 10 year timespan, new characters, Free Marches, seeing how my Origins decisions affect the
world... Bottom line: it's more Dragon Age - I'm pretty much bound to love it.
I didn't mention it in the OP but the framed narrative and 10-year span is actually one of the new things I'm most looking forward to. There's so much potential there for awesome, and the possibility of an unreliable narrator is very cool. But I'm a geek for literature and total mindf--k movies so yeah.

Excuse me I think you took a wrong turn. You want this thread.

I wonder if it will be a cinematic or in-game type of trailer. Anyone know what the first trailer for Origins was? Was it Sacred Ashes?

sacred ashes was a very late one... i think it was done 2-3 months before the release... however, there was a cinematic trailer before it, even tough i forgot its name, it wasn't that amazing tough...

Also I forgot to mention the 10 year span thing, cant wait to see (and influence) my characters epic decade. The framed narrative should also be interesting. Cant see it doing anything but get in the way, but I am confident that the genius writers at Bioware will pull it off.

Ah I see. I was just wonderiing if we might get a glimpse of new companions. Or do they typically wait on that and release info one by one later on?

I'm not sure myself. Either way, either type would be fine, cinematic would be epic, gameplay would be just as epic with a bonus effect of eliminating some of the worries some people have on the game.Anarya wrote...
