Sorry if this has been asked already, I've pulled several all nighters playing this game and am very tired, lol.

Shale has given me a quest, but I can't progress in it.  I've been back to the Anvil with Shale but nothing happens.  How do I progress?

Also, do you get quests from all of your companions?  So far I've done one for Sten, Wynne, Morrigan, & Oghren.

Yes. You get quests from all of them.



It might be easier if you tell us what you've done. Did you click on the golem registry? Did you go to the Auducan Thaig? Did Shale have any dialogue once in the Deep Roads?

For Shale:

Just keep on traveling around the Deep Roads and it will jolt his memory. I personally got my quest updated when I entered Aeducan Thaig.



How the rest of the companion quests start off:

Wynne has a quest through dialogue(mid approval).

Sten has a quest through dialogue(high approval).

Morrigan has a quest through dialogue(Mage Tower).

Oghren has a quest through dialogue(low approval).

Leliana has a quest through dialogue(mid/high approval).

Zevran has a quest(random encounter in Denerim?).

Alister kind of have a quest, part of main quests.

Yes I've done the anvil of the Void quest, & took a rubbing of the golem registry. I spent all day yesterday going back over everywhere in the deep roads trying to trigger some progress in this quest but nothing is happening. The shaper did want a copy of the registry though, so maybe that killed the quest, or maybe I have a glitch.



Also, what do you have to do to trigger quests from Zevran & Leliana, because I'm not getting any more options of new conversations with them. What quest do you do for Alistair?

For Shale, I went to the Crossroad and as soon as we entered Shale remembered something. Once that happened, a new area was open to explore on the area map.
