My warrior is way more powerful than my rogue ever was. NPC rogues are pretty OP, as they can backstab for a lot of damage just about whenever they want, but it doesn't work that way for players, at least it didn't for me, and I had stealth leveled to 2.

I've enjoyed it. Well done EA and Bioware.

1. I'm sick of glancing blows from archery. Enemies don't seem to have this issue.

2. I'm sick of enemies shooting me through rocks and stuff. I can't shoot them.

3. Doing surveys doesn't count towards my unlocking of the item. I'll try from the title screen later.

4. You've made the cost of abilities ridiculously high - I rarely, if ever, use any abilities other than healing.

5. No fullscreen. Why?

6. WHY is one of the unlocks to beat the game 3 times using different classes? Have you lost your minds? Do you REALLY think this game is THAT fun that people would want to beat it 3 times? We already get mage/warrior/rogue allies so we KNOW how their classes play. This is ridiculous.

All in all it's a good first attempt but there are some glaring issues that keep this simple game from being great.

Me too, I rarely use ability. Even attack spells, they're not good enough. Better off healing. I ditched the bard really fast too. Kept the healer, martine and my dwarf warrior. I must admit that 2h seems more powerful than shield. Shield don't seem to do much really. I get damaged really hard whatever I do.

I am not through the entire game yet and do not know how long it will take, but it is not so interesting that I want to play through it thrice to get all the unlocks. The battles are starting to get a bit boring for me and I am only a couple hours in, though I was doing other things while playing so for most people that is probably more like one hour in.

I'm waiting for the real game. Flash games just aren't my cup of tea.

Nice little timesink. Old-fashioned dungeon-crawl. But does not influence my decision - I preordered some months ago.

The flash game is quite tedious, repetitive and boring =/

It's okay for a flash game and i like the glimpse of the 'real thing' and the overall oldschool dungeon game feeling of it, but i wouldn't do more than 1 playthrough if it wasn't for the unlock.

It didn't have any influence on my decision whatsoever - i, too, preordered months ago

It made no influence on my desire to play the finished game. But I like the HoMM-gameplay.

I quite enjoyed my mage run through, leveling up and getting a feel for the DA universe was fun, turn based combat was a surprise. However archery needs a boost and the level scaling needs to go.

Seconded. Also ran into some game-breaking bugs like quest items disappearing inexplicably from inventory, thus making it impossible to complete the game. If enemies respawned at least this might be solvable, but it isn't.

Also, as others have said, rogues seem awfully weak. My strategy in battle happens to be picking off the enemies first with missile attacks, and it's always my rogue who does the least damage. Even the warrior companion does better at her in this regard. And yes, "Glancing Blows" suck. It would be nice if enemies had them too.

Yes, i feel even more desire to play the real game now. The combat is a little repitive and boring after awhile. I guess it´s to get the unlocked items thats keep you playing this.

I enjoyed it quite a bit actually. However, one bug - well, it's not a bug, but it should be classified as one - ruined it a bit for me; make archery more deadly. I'm sick of all those glancing blows, and when you do hit, it's not for a huge amount of damage.

And no, it didn't have any affection whatsoever on my desire to play Dragon Age: Origins. But that might just be because I'm already too hyped.

It's a nice little diversion, shallow in terms of plot and characters of course, but an engaging little romp anyway. The combat reminds me of HoMM so much that I want to fire up HoMM IV again. :P The bugs are rather demotivating, but I trust they'll be fixed. I won't pay for this, though. It is too shallow for that.

Bugs aside, my biggest gripes are:

1) Stamina costs are way too high. If you don't rest a lot or go through stamina-salves like it's going out of style, there's too much boring autoattacking because you run dry all the time otherwise. (I suppose mages have the same problem with mana, and lyrium potions are rare.)
2) Sword & shield is dead boring because it has none of the offensive abilities from the real DA. They should've picked some more fun talents instead of all the passive/defensive ones.
3) Enemy rogues and their backstabbing are pretty grotesque.
4) I really don't care about the Diablo-esque loot system.

I'd rather have less of a hex-combat dungeoncrawl, and more lore and conversations. And Journeys has no bearing, good or bad, on my desire to play Origins (which I'm very much looking forward to).

well.... i just got done with the achievements...

imo you people need to calm down a little... yes there are a few glitches in it...yes the story

is not all that overwhelming but it's just a flash game and it does give us a glimpse at the world of DAO

and to be absolutely honest we're all just playing for the items aren't we.

I think it's pretty fun.

Nice way to make the waiting a little less hard, and earn a little extra items.

It's a flash game...that's better than like 90% of the flash games I've ever played so I'm pleasantly surprised and it makes me want the game MOAR.

After playing it for a while combat is already repetitive but for a flash game its fun. I'll probably set the difficulty to the lowest to storm through the last two difficulties and unlock everything.

I just want to clarify something-- monsters don't get glancing hits because they instead miss outright. Player characters always inflict at least some damage with damaging attacks (hence "glancing hits"). This is actually a good deal for players.

It's a good flash game, but I don't think it has had a bearing on how badly I want to play DA:O. I mean I can barely wait, but I was like that before I played Journeys. 11 days to go.

Yeah, but it just seems that I get a glancing blow so much in comparison to how often the enemies miss. Maybe I just have bad luck.

Nope.  But last I checked, the EA guys who made it had to get the info from Bioware.  So really, without Bioware, this game wouldn't be.
