What do you think the chances are of Liara being a squad mate after the new dlc?

I think there is a pretty good chance, just think about it. Bioware said that dlc will start connecting to ME3 this could be the first. What other people have said is that there is no more space in the character roster but Im sure if fallout 3 can add entire sections to the map bioware can add one more spot. Whats your opinion?Posted Image

You mean like, as in a ME2 squad mate?

As a ME3 squad mate...
next to 0

edit: FYI, I don't have anything against liara, I'm just quite convinced none of the old squad mates will be back.

I don't think she's going to join up with you in ME2. Maybe she will in ME3.

I am not so sure about Liara not joining. It always made me wonder, why her two assignments show up under the "Missions" section of the journal and not under the "Assigments" section ... might be a hint, might be just a mistake ... we will know for sure soon enough I guess ...

I doubt she will in either. Though it would be cool. I think that BW has made the decision on who they want in ME3, and I don't think it includes Liara, and unfortunately, I don't think it includes Wrex either.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark at this one, and say that originally (way early in developement), liara was supposed to be recruitable, and the shadow broker dlc was her recruitment, or loyalty mission. Someone probably just forgot to change the two errands you run for her.

Again, I base this on nothing.

because our current biotic squadmates have every possible combination of biotic uses except singularity, which Liara had in ME1. They won't give us someone with singularity.

...and Liara was super boring, I don't get you guys on these forums. -_-;

No.

Practically, the squad screen is already full.

Also, where would she stay on the ship?

Most importantly, where does it fit in the story? Yes, I know it will be most likely after the final mission, but because this is DLC, some people (me included) will buy it and play it before the final mission.

*Would already doing the core ME2 missions for Liara be a prerequisite for playing this?

The captain cabin's bathroom is usually empty.

why can't she just stay in the captain's suite, not just the bathroom?

Don't you remember what she was like in ME1? I don't want her creeping on me while I sleep.

I could see not letting her be a possible death on the suicide mission, but I wonder if they would let her join after the suicide mission, at least then you could do dlc or other n7 missions you missed with her.

Not in ME2,maybe a non-comabt NPC on the Normandy, but even the chances of that is pretty slim. In ME3 though it's a safe bet to assume that both Liara and the Virmire survivor will return as a squadmate.

I sure hope so.

On one hand, they could be using these events during ME2 to set up Liara's role in ME3. But on the other I have to wonder if all of these Liara extras, the DLC (originally the much bigger part in ME2 than the VS), the comic, etc, are compensation for them writing her a -smaller- part in the final installment than the other LIs. Possible...

...But probably not. I'm expecting her to be a squadmate more than anyone else at this point. I don't really have an opinion either way, that's just my feeling.

Zero, why would Liara become a squadmate? This DLC is just a simple side quest.

I'm optimistic she could be recruited, myself, but I won't be crushed if she isn't. We already have a sexy asari we can recruit, one who does NOT paint on fake eyebrows.

Because, obviously, game UI's have never, ever been changed by mods, expansions, etc.

The medical bay, working alongside Chakwas.

Like any sidequest, it would fit anywhere between Freedom's Progress and the Omega-4 Relay.

In ME2 I think the chances are nonexistent. For ME3 I think she has a better chance than anybody. She is after all the only squaddie at this point who absolutely cannot be dead, not to mention she is central to the plot, and a popular LI.

she may be recruitable for that one mission in the DLC. permanent? non-zero, but still very very small probability.

I wouldn't rule out just you and liara running around at some point, and I certainly wouldn't rule it out for ME3.

Given that she's become rather ruthless like her mother without the excuse of indoctrination, I fully expect her to become the monster she is hunting and suspect that Shep will get played.

I imagine that once the SB is dead, Liara will take control of his network and continue busness as usual.

In ME3, Shep will end up putting a bullet in her head.

How many threads like this exist? I'm confused.

I don't see Liara joining in ME2...perhaps ME3, unless they have bigger plans for her.

if she IS recruitable then she might not survive the suicide mission. so if u want her in me3 then you should probably hope she isn't recruitable with this dlc

I highly doubt she'll be recruit-able as a full squad-mate in the DLC maybe as a temporary member but after the DLC is finished she'll return to Ilium to take care of the aftermath. But I pray to the Bioware gods to give us Liara as a recruit-able companion in ME3, she was my mains LI in ME1 don't make it so i'll be forced to not romance anyone again! I'm lonely! Q_Q
