I doubt this is ever going to happen really.

But once you complete the mission, will Liara be free to join the crew of the Normandy as a squadmate?

During the game, she refers to the hunt for the Shadow Broker being a reason for not being able to join the mission.

But if you resolve that issue for her, that should take away that reason.

According to Hidden audio...No, but it could be wrong.

Doubtful. If she doesn't, I wonder what will be her reason.

Nope. Not going to happen. It made no sense in the first place that she wouldn't - I mean, you'd think she could take some time out of her busy schedule of revenge to save the entire galaxy. But despite you taking the time out of your busy schedule of galaxy saving to take care of her petty revenge, she still can't spare you a few weeks or whatever. So just imagine how little sense it'll make when at the end of the DLC all you get amounts to "thank you, now get out of my office".

There isn't any room on the squad selection screen.

No, Nein, Iie, Ne, Non, and Nyet Posted Image

I wish it were possible too
but all available spots have been filled for this squad
and Bioware has said no more will be added

Its not gonna happen, Bioware said so. Hopefully there will be much much more interaction with Liara during and after the mission though

I doubt it's going to happen. My guess is that LotSB will take place after the suicide mission and once it's done, Liara will either return to Illium, stay in the Shadow Broker's base or stay on the Normandy - but as a crew-member, not as a Squadmate. It wouldn't make sense to have her as a Squadmate this late, so again, I doubt that will be the case.

I also don't believe she'll be killable in the DLC, because it was stated by BW that Liara is kept alive for ME3. It wouldn't make sense to have her able to die now. It is very likely that she's able to die in ME3, though, but that's another discussion entirely :-)

Also, the hidden audio files mentioned in the 2nd post of this thread aren't hints as to was will happen in the DLC, imo. They've been discarded by BW, imo.

She is more likely going to take over the SB position, or spend some time finishing up some loose ends, so she can rejoin Shepard in ME3. That's my guess.

If LotSB is not post-endgame then I would really like to see Liara as a recruitable squadmate. I know that directly contradicts Casey Hudson saying there will be no more squadmates, but it would still be great to see.

However, I would much prefer LotSB be a post-endgame story arc and the first of the bridge DLC to ME3.

I doubt she will return to be a Squadmate because Bioware wanted the ME1 LI's and Crew to play a special part in ME3,so no.Just another "Get the hell out of my office."

if it plays out like the audio she will need to go through the info... while she is doing that the reapers get ever closer but not to worry she is filing info

I agree with her joining the crew again but doesn't mean she has to be a squad member.

There is a reason given in the hidden audio as to why she can't join you. Go find it on YouTube if you want to know. Search "hidden liara audio files."

After 'Lair' she recovers all the Shadow Brokers files which "could take years" to go through, so no unfortunately.

Besides, think about it logically. If It can be done before the Collector Base assault and you could take Liara with you she could die and not reprise her role in ME3, which was the entire reason for giving her a cameo in ME2 in the first place.

TBH, Liara is probably more useful to Shep in her new capacity of information broker than she is as a crewmember.

Also, since she's all ruthless now like her mom but without the excuse of being indoctrinated, I'm slowly accepting the idea that I may have to shoot her in the head at some point in ME3, especially if she is playing me and wants Shep to knock off SB so that she can take his place.

Rather than have to shoot her in the head, I see her (if she does take over being the Shadow Broker) as being Shepard's only useful counter to the Illusive Man.

Even TIM seems wary of the Shadow Broker ("if so, she can't be trusted.") Anything that puts him on edge is worth having in my pocket.

Yeah, I don't think it's gonna happen...

Liara's one of the only ace-in-the-hole characters to join the squad in ME3. So why put her up for risk of dying in ME2?

I read it.  :P

Liara isn't going to die in an optional DLC especially when C Hudson said they were saving her for ME3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This I agree with...crew members aren't really that useful if you think about it...they are one of 12, and most of them don't ever get utilized.

It may be that the devs wanted to save Liara for ME3 so she could fit into a plot important non-squad mate role, such as this.  I'm still not convinced her guarunteed survival = squad mate role.

I'm OK with the non-squad mate role, as long as it is done well, and the player gets the chance to continue the romance with her, if desired.  For comparison, her ME2 non-squad mate role was horrid.  I just don't want that again.

I fully support a Liara-Garrus-Femshep Renegade triad.

Liara already wasn't opposed to the idea of a 3-way (ME1 crisis) and Garrus sure seems casual to me.
