The "entire" reason? Where are you getting that? She was a past love interest and her inclusion as a team member would have been highly complicated for obvious reasons.Guanxii wrote...
Besides, think about it logically. If It can be done before the Collector Base assault and you could take Liara with you she could die and not reprise her role in ME3, which was the entire reason for giving her a cameo in ME2 in the first place.
Will Liara be "recruitable" at the end of the Shadow Broker DLC?

If she pulls the "I need to stay here blah blah blah" crap then I'm going to go do the deed with Miranda and Liara will no longer be a person I am concerned with. At least Miranda is committed to my mission.
This is mostly regarding her as a love interest in ME1. Because if you had her as a love interest then her continued blowing you off (not in the good way) in ME2 is annoying and almost demands you go find someone else to hook up with.
All I know is that if she keeps acting the way she is I won't care if she lives or dies in ME3.

Oh also, I'm aware that Liara saved Sheps body but also remember Shepard saved her life first. So it isn't like Shepard owes her anything.
Yes, but she decoded the Cipher - without which you would be catching air in the Mako over a mountain somewhere when Sovereign activated the Conduit.

The devs said it was to ensure her and the VS's surivor. That's where he's getting that.

I fully support a Liara-Garrus-Femshep Renegade triad.
Liara already wasn't opposed to the idea of a 3-way (ME1 crisis) and Garrus sure seems casual to me.
My paragade vanguard is hoping for the same with Liara - MShep - Jack. Biotics flying everywhere...
Hey, Jack was in a relationship with a couple before.

It depends on how the Liara DLC ends. According to an unamed source working for Bioware, at the end Liara will choose to become the new Shadow Broker. With a succesful Paragon or Renegade check you can disuade her from this and she will join your crew. If not then you have the option to leave her be or execute her.
I doubt that happens but it would be cool.
I wish you had the chance to kill, abandon or whatever would be squad mates more often. It would have made an interesting dynamic.
I loved having the ability to leave Zaeed to burn at the end of his loyalty mission the first time I got him. How cool was that!?!? Additionally the game gives you an option to sell Legion right after you get him. I also liked how you can fail some of the loyalty mission even though you live through and "complete" the mission.

Rather than have to shoot her in the head, I see her (if she does take over being the Shadow Broker) as being Shepard's only useful counter to the Illusive Man.
Even TIM seems wary of the Shadow Broker ("if so, she can't be trusted.") Anything that puts him on edge is worth having in my pocket.
Never thought of that, since they both know a great deal of things it would be useful to have her on our side. I could see a battle of " Who gets what intel first" between TIM and Liara.
I dont expect her to join in ME2.. Two years since Shepard's "death" and she has moved on and got her own problems to deal with. Shepard isnt the most important thing in everyone's eyes afterall.

However, I would much prefer LotSB be a post-endgame story arc and the first of the bridge DLC to ME3.

I kinda hope I get the option to talk Liara out of becoming the next Shadow Broker.
Final Paragade Rating
Is this Paragade rating high enough to enable a Paragon check?
I'm not sure, because sometimes it isn't.
And I have plenty of space for a new squadmember, considering Subject Zero is dead and Zaeed was never recruited.
I'm now picturing an double Asari teamup squad.
A pity Liara and Samara won't have anything to do, unless another DLC comes along.....

If she can be killed at the end, then I will bring along my new LI and blast her in the head. But where did you find this "source"?

So no one else is a bit irked that when ever you get a new DLC your getting the news from the illusive man instead of say Liara?
Um, why would Liara be giving you messages about gone-awry Cerberus projects you should go help fix? Or sending you email about Cerberus gear when TIM is the one having it sent to you? Or telling you that Cerberus has hired a couple people she's never met that you can add to your team? Should she also be the one asking you go fetch dogtags and plant a monument on Alchera, or is it OK that you get that one from the Alliance?

with all the resentment I have for her right now I'd recruit her just to let her die

-shrugs-
most people want to kill Tali for nearly no other reason other than she is popular
I'd want to kill her off because her writing sucked in ME2 and because she gave me the cold shoulder even AFTER I forgave her for her actions (that was a load of BS) and helped her
