Whats with the death to Tali/Liara posts? Damn... if got all of my female squaddies killed I'd have to swing by Omega or the Citadel and pick up some Serrice and see what Chakwas is up to ;)

Doubtful. If she doesn't, I wonder what will be her reason.

Bull**** reason, you can hear it in the audio. She says she needs to search through all the data. Manually. Yeah, it's not like we have the two most advanced AI's in the galaxy working with us. Oh wait, we do Legion and EDI.

The Mass effect wikia confirms what I remember - that Liara is pretty sure she is a Pureblood. http://masseffect.wi.../wiki/Pureblood Which kinda fits what we did find out about Benezia. Interesting to read that Samara was pureblood herself and thinks Ardat-Yakshi come from such pairings, though.

But unless the Asari on the council was her "father", that kinda throws several ideas out the window. Personally, I think she is a pureblood, or why even mention it?

The Bioware blurb I posted earlier in this thread also said  "this new DLC will add the Shadow Broker intel center, new research, and
five new achievements – and give fans from Mass Effect 1the chance to
continue a relationship with Liara."
So I figure they will add some new sound files with the DLC - as I am sure they did with Overlord, cos isn't there a thread enjoying the new music? Assuming what we have now in unused files is all we will have is not the best idea, IMHO.

As for Liara being on the ship, I think she will to fulfill the "continuing a relationship" quote. She will probably be nose deep in files on Normandy come the Suicide Mission, OR stay behind in the SB Intel Center for that portion, getting important Intel to bridge ME2 and ME3 by finding a Reaper weakness or something, and rejoin us AFTER the mission. Hell, wouldn't you prefer your LI to be safe? All kinds of ways for writers to work around those issues.

dude

Liara KNOWS she is a pureblood....unless Benezia lied to her all along

and what part of "we already know she  does not join shepard" are you missing? the audio files pretty much confirm it

Ah, missed the bit where Prince of Kemet actually said the Asari council member.. My bad.

So you think there will be no more audio files added to the DLC then? That every spoken word that could be uttered is already in our game, even though we don't yet have the actual content of the DLC? In that case, please share what is going to happen in LotSB, because you are saying you already have access to all the dialogue in it, right?  B)

I hope we can, Bioware said it will be very satisfaying for the gamers, so what the point to give you a DLC with a famous character if you can't play with it after? (my point of view)

The only explanaition to that is, it's a post suicide mission, and that would make sens.

But to be honest, the biggest satisfaction i could get from this DLC is, keeping Liara as a squad mate, nothing else.

But i won't blame Bioware if it's not the case, i already spent more than 200 hours thanks to this game, so Bioware feed my need already (exept the main plot !!!!!! ! ).

So no one else is a bit irked that when ever you get a new DLC your getting the news from the illusive man instead of say Liara?

Yes, I am irked.

To explain, I told the Illusive man we would not be working together in the future when I finished the game.
But when I added the Overlord DLC and the Firepower Pack, I got mail messages from him.
Surely he should not be helping me when our working arrangement did not end well.

I'm expecting more from the Shadow Broker DLC though, a message from Liara personally.

As mentioned above, I am playing this DLC after final event, so there's no problem with recruiting Liara.

Every character from DLC didnt have good dialogues aboard the Normandy. Liara was LI, so she need more dialogues. I dont believe they will make this possible... So I dont believe she will rejoin Shep. I think that the mission with her wouldnt be complete succes so she stay at Ilium.

rubs temples....ok let me try to make it easier

1: the last time we found these Audio Files they were for Kasumi before the DLC came out. Those Audio files remained EXACTLY the same in the final version of the DLC/game

2: Bioware is STILL making DLC assuming people are not yet "done" with ME2 and they already confirmed Liara MUST be in ME3 which is the reason why you cannot recruit her in ME2

3: If Bioware allows you to take Liara on the normandy either as crew or Squad then, unless Bioware blatantly protecter from the suicide mission/abduction thus making a mockery out of it, then there will be a chance for her to die thus screwing with Bioware's plans

all we know points to the fact that Bioware will NOT let us recruit her

Thank you, much appreciated you taking the time to tell me. Still seems really odd to me that all the dialogue was already there for the Overlord DLC...

Being not recrutable "because" she could die in the suicide mission is not a good argument, because even non loyal member can survive the mission.

SPOILER____________________________________

There is only the first part of suicide mission that look "not right" to select her and could kill her, as a leader she could be as good or as bad as other members, and for the biotic field, she could do the job well since she is an exelent biotic even among the asari.

Shep: "Liara, you go in the tunnel"
Liara: "no way, since i was stuck in therum, i'm claustophobic, send someone else !"
Shep: "... nice dodge Bioware ..."
Liara: "I don't know what you are talking about Posted Image "

so you are saying Bioware is going to simply make her bulltproof for the suicide mission? no, I seriously doubt it unless they just make her say "NO" for each task she is not suited for or they make her non selectable....which would make a mockery of it all because then people would want the same to be done for THEIR favorite characters to insure they would remain in ME3

I don't want to make any afirmation, i'm just speculating with some humor.

But to be honest, i wouldn't care if it's realy the case and Liara refuse to do a job she can't do, or even for a non suited job, she get saved / spared from the death.

Just my opinion here.

sure.....then I would really like a retcon for Tali so she cannot die in the suicide mission thus insuring she will be present as a full squadmate and integral part of ME3

it's not gonna happen

If the hidden Liara audio files are anything to go by,

Doubtful.  They're largely direct parallels to her current dialogue, and some of the phrases are identical, or nearly so, as are the line readings.  For instance, now she won't leave because she has to search and gather data to find the SB, and wants your help to get some of it.  In the hidden ones, she won't leave because she barely has any access to the encrypted SB data, and wants your help to crack some of it open.  Both are done by hacking the same terminals, and both end up revealing the existence of the Observer.

Plus, Shep has only two extra lines. One is Shep showing up already knowing Liara is after SB, with Cerberus intel on the SB's location to boot.   Currently, Shep hasn't a clue about Liara's goals and she has to explain everything.  TIM will even lie in the beginning and claim his intel indicates she's working for the SB so you'll shut up and stop bugging him about getting your old team back. The other is Shep saying the SB is dead, so Liara should just come along: see above.

Also, the hidden dialogue doesn't fit with Redemption or the game-as-released very well.  Liara should know full well that the SB doesn't really know much of anything about the Collectors, because no one does.  In the comic, the SB just sold the Shepcorpse for purely business reasons (told to Liara herself), and clearly wasn't involved with them beyond that (made fairly obvious, at least to me, in a scene near the end where the SB and Harbinger-via-the-Collector General chit-chat).

Yet, in the hidden files, that's her whole reason for wanting to stay put and analyze the SB data: Liara, for some reason, suspects he/she/it knew so much about the Collectors that she'll find a way to take them down, or at least make that job much easier.  There's also the fact that, in the comic, it's implied the SB hasn't done business with the Collectors before this deal was struck.

The whole thing practically screams "Dropped sub-plot! Rewrite! Rewrite!"

She doesn't say manually.  She doesn't even imply manually.  She simply says there's a whole lot of data, and that it could take years.  Purely coincidentally, I'm sure, her current dialogue says it could take years to find the SB.

No.  It was not.  It's found in the Overlord files, and nowhere else.  The only dialogue that sees use that was already present is the general combat stuff like "Lost shields!", etc.
