I want to start a new (mostly) solo runthough of TUTU+SOA+TOB. It has been a while since I played the BG series, and there are a few issues that I want to clarify before I start.
1-What are the effects of extremely low reputation. I know that store prices will be very high. However, I seem to remember that if your reputation goes to the lower limit, guards will become hostile towards you. Will this extend to other charcters (storekeepers and civillians) as well?
2-I recall from a previous runthrough of tutu that there is a mod which places BG2 items (such as scrolls for BG2 spells) in various places. However, googling has failed me on this front. Could someone give details of such a mod, if it exists?
3-What precisely are the rules on people turning hostile? I know that if I kill a civillian in plain sight, the people nearby will turn hostile. What about if I kill someone quietly, and out of sight? will people turn hostile immediately, once they see the body, or not at all? Similarly, what about nearby areas - if I slaughter everyone on the bottom floor of a building, will those on the other floors go hostile?
4-If someone turns hostile, is there any way to initiate conversation with them? For example, storekeepers will not sell you anything if you cannot initiate conversation.
many thanks in advance.

I know in Baldur's Gate and Tutu if your rep drops below 2 or 3 I think, a brigand of Flaming Fist mercenaries come after you (2 fighters, 2 scouts and 1 mage I think)
I don't think people will suddenly turn hostile around you, unless of course you've done something within their sight, there is an option in the BG2 Tweaks mod that allows you a lower store price with a low rep as well.
I think that may be Sword Coast Stratagems .... just looked through my WeiDU log and it is:
"Standardise spells: BG1 vs BG2 -> Introduce BG2 spell scrolls into BG1: v14"
I can't quite remember the part about killing civilians out of sight of others. When you kill Noober, no one in Nashkel goes hostile do they? Attacking Flaming Fist Mercenaries makes civilians turn hostile, but only if you attack, if you ignore them, they will stay friendly.
One thing I learned this morning in the Thieves' Warrens when you ... SPOILER .... come across Winki Perorate, if you kill him your rep drops by 7, what?!

I think the winski peorate is because the game treats him as an innocent - in my first playthrough, I kiled him too, and was shocked at the drop in reputation as a result of killing one of the main perpetrators of the evil plot, who (if I remember correctly) invites you to kill him.
However, it may be that I need to modify the game to change people's reaction to very evil characters. I've done some bungling around in near infinity before, but I don't know where precisely the reputation information is stored - can you point me to the right file(s)?

I'm sorry but I don't know the Near Infinity engine so well
I know the mod Rogue Rebalancing mod adjusts reputation for when you fail a pick pocket x number of times you lose 2 points
So maybe install that mod and investigate further?
I'm sure someone here has a better answer
