But you must agree that DA2 is a drastic departure from the "Spiritual successor to BG2" and more along the "Visceral Combat, strip out all the RPG elements" ME2 style.
You have to at least recognize that seeing Emo Bearded Hipster Hawke fight in levis is a legit reason to at least be cautious? I'm fully aware the game won't ship w/ Hawke shirtless in levis.
That doesn't change the fact that the game's art style has completely changed, and Bioware is always talking about how great Mass Effect 2 is and how they'd be overjoyed if DA2 became like ME2
Millions of people will buy DA2 day 1 to answer your question.

Only twice since discovering Baldu'rs Gate have I failed to buy a BioWare titles as soon as it was released on PC. Jade Empire, because I didn't think it looked interesting (I was wrong - great game), and ME2 (because I think ME failed utterly as a game).
DA2's pedigree has yet to alienate me.

I will almost certainly buy it day one/preorder it. no matter what changes are made, Bioware games are story based at heart, and that's why I got into games in the first place.
Pretty much this for me. I haven't played one yet I did not enjoy, though I liked some more than others.

I simply refuse due to your inaccurate beliefs that schooling is not lame.

School is lame but you still need to learn cr@p. You definitely shouldn't skip it to play a video game.

there are those under us who actually can now "cr@p" without learning it everyday from school. and if what i heard from the fellow exchange students about the US schools is correctly, it really doesn't matter if you go every day or not... at least if you live in the US of course...
