There are so many changes being made, and so I will be taking a wait and see approach.  Also, given the buggy state of Origins, I won't be rushing out to get the game on day 1 to be a guinea pig.  It's not like there won't be other games to play at the time.  I just want Bioware to not rush things and release DA2 when it's done, not before.

Good ol' US of A. I think perhaps they were afraid of kids smoking or something...I never really found out why. I think most people avoided them, and if someone *was* using one, you got the hell out as fast as possible.

Where in the USA is 9th grade considered middle school?  That's insanity, mixing teenagers w/ lil 6th graders.

6th grade is part of "elementary school." For us, anyway.

Kindergarten and 1st through 6th grade was elementary school. Then Junior High was, for me, 7th-9th grade. Then High School was 10th-12th. However, the year I was in 9th grade was the last year it was held at the Junior High, at least in my school district, then it was added to the High School. So my younger brother (who was in the next grade down) and I both started at the High School the same year, oddly enough.

Anyway, this was in Oregon, just outside Portland, but I can only speak for my school district. I don't know if it was ever done the same in other districts, let alone state- or country-wide.

I'm sure it may be like that in many areas, but for me, elementary was kindergarten through 5th grade.  Jr High was 6th through 8th grade, and high school was 9th through 12th.  I graduated in 1998 if it matters.

If you would have asked me this question a couple months ago, I couldn't imagine saying no. Now though....meh. BioWare is going to really have to knock my socks off with the PC gameplay footage because most of what I've read and seen thus far has me not caring too much for the direction BioWare is taking DA...

Unless the pc gaming community reacts favorably, no intentions of buying it.  I bought Mass Effect 2 as apparently it was Jesus cometh back and couldn't even get to the end of it, boring pretentious nonsense. So far on Dragon Age 2 all we have heard is "console, console, console" and "Mass Effect".

I have the collector's edition of DA:O and will hopefully get the collector's edition of DA2 but as far as bugs go...

I have never had an issue with bugs in DA:O. I understand some ppl did and do, but honestly, it has run perfectly fine for me with no issues. I would expect DA2 to do the same.

Most likely it will be a pre-order day 1 purchase. I don't mind at all the voiced hero, the conversations wheel, don't even mind it being made a little more "actiony". I'm fine with only being able to be a single race and a certain named hero. I'm fine with all the major complaints on this board.

However, the only thing that will make me not purchase this game is if the new info reveals drastic cuts and over simplification of the character builds and the inventory.

It depend for me, I mean, I love the Dragon Age Orgin, but this knew one got me somewhat of a pause. Knowing me though, I will buy it on the first day anways.....

Totally gonna buy this day one. Don't usually pre-order games, but I'll make an exception if the collector's edition is good enough. I've become a total junkie for all things Dragon Age at this point.

I'm in a Bioware-induced moral quandry - ME2 was great fun, but it wasn't perfect and why does dumbed down console sci-fi have to intrude on my fantasy RPGs? - a beautiful thing is being lost. Do I really want to encourage Bioware to totally give up on real RPGs?



And I wanted a sequel to Dragon Age - not a different story set in the same world.

I think DA2 will be a great game, but I always wait for reviews to come in before I make a purchase. Otherwise I'm out $60 if the game doesn't meet expectations, and I won't get even half of that back from Gamestop...
