At least 1 "Improves Blood Magic item" since they dont stack.

Rings: Lifegiver & Key to the City
Amulet: Blood Gorged or the Spellward
Belt: Sash of Forbidden Secrets
Helm: First Enchanters Cowl or Libertarians Cowl
Staff: Your choice, im fond of Corrupted Magisters
Robe: Reapers Vestments
Gloves: Whatever pair gives you +10% to +20% damage to your choice of spells.
Boots: Imperial Weavers, Lions Paw or Magus War Boots.

Even when not going full AW, I typically spec mages into AW and use Executioner's Helm and Warden Commander's boots for +75 Stam, since the alternatives in either slots aren't great/look stupid.

There are gloves in the game that give +10% to +20% for any fire damage you do, same for each spell school so theres one thats add damage for spirit, frost, nature etc.

Whatever spell school you primarily for damage grab the gloves for that.

For my Blood mage I allways use the following gear:

- Magister's Staff (Right after I leave Lothering I go to the Brecilian Outskirts to talk to Zathrian and he can be killed in the camp with a few inferno and fire bombs, you can grab the staff, and he will still appear in the ruins at the end of Nature of the Beast)
- Staff of the Magister Lord once you have the money to spare
- Black Hand Gauntlets to make the most out of Blood Wound
- Lifegiver, Dreamsever, and Blood Ring are the best in the game for a Blood Mage
- Lifedrinker or Blood-Gorged Amulet
- Sash of Forbidden Secrets from the Golems DLC or if you don't have it then Destructionist's Belt
- Magus War Boots or Imperial Weavers
- Tevinter Mage Robes or Robes of Avernus (I advise against Reaper's Vestments, because it is best for centric Shapeshifters or Arcane Warrior hybrids, Tevinter Mage Robes however boost spellpower and mana regeneration)
- The Libertarian's Cowl

Would this list be good for a Blood Mage/ShapeShifter (swarm for heatlh recharge...) build that is focused on spirit damage?

I'm currenlty trying out the Combat Tweaks mod for the AW/SS fixes so that SS won't suck as much.

I suppose Shapeshifter is only bad, because it requires a strenght centric build to do a lot of damage, but you will have a much weaker mage in terms of spellcasting. I never tried any mods or unofficial fixes for shapeshifting, but for a strenght focus built primal spells are the best, and of course blood magic can be a good choice too. So pick the ones from this list that gives bonus to spellpower and elemental damage, and it might just work without any mods.

If you have Awakening, the Staff of the Lost is your best friend. It was MADE for a Blood Mage.

It's probably not too much of a spoiler, so I'll say it. There's a sweet robe as an unlockable reward from Witch Hunt.
