I just cant seem to a playthrough with a 2handed warrior that does not involve me using Nug Crusher for the majority of the game then moving on to Chasind Great Maul....I just hate losing that 100 STAM! :(  Any 2handed warrior fans out there that use something else?

Never used it. My PC uses Starfang until he gets Chasind Great Maul. I often give Nug to Alistair, but once I get my upgrade, he gets Starfang. It then goes to Sten or Oghren. Its my ultimate hand-me-down weapon.

I also use Starfang to begin with, then I usually Winter Forge Chasind Great Maul into a sword, because maces look ridiculous.

I usualy had Ohgren with Nugcrusher.

Nugcrusher+Warden Commanders Boots+Executioners Helm+House dace now leave syou with +225 Stamina.

Though I will admit ive tried Elhanan's two hand build thats just get Will to 30 and all other points in Str and its great too.

Chasind Maul does look pretty crappy, wish it looked like Velos Atredum or whatever it's called instead.

CGM is just too unfeasible for me to take seriously as well. If you think about the weight of even a sledgehammer, and imagine trying to swing that repeatedly (horizontally no less), and then look at the size of the head on CGM compared to the length of it's shaft, it gets pretty ridiculous (Feel free to pretend I said something else instead of CGM there, and giggle adolescently if you wish).

I use Starfang, then CGM. Nugcrusher was sold to Levi in almost every game.

I use Starfang for the attack power, though it might not be as impressive looking as +100 stamina. I will admit I would love to invest some practice into either weapon. At this point, the only argument I may come up with to put on the table is my role playing for two handed swords.

I place many points into willpower as a nice alternative as well, though it's not the only reason.

its screws it up if you EVER use it in origins? or if you just use it in Origins and not use it in Awakening? I thought you couldnt use most dlc items in awakening?

AFAIK, it just makes some game items appear like items from the Warden Keep DLC.; not exactly 'screws up the entire game' type issues.

Ah thanks Elhanan...you know I am debating another 2handed playthrough as soon as I finish my current duel wield war that Darkness helped me out with..and my last two handed warrior was REDONKULOUS...He was a Templar/Champion and it was just ridiculous...I only needed a tank for boss encounters as regular encounters all enemies would be sitting on their arses lmao..warcry>holy smite> two handed sweep FTW!....

I was seeing if maybe I would do another 2hander but with different specs....I was thinking berzerker but that only adds +8 damage to auto attacks...and since auto attacking is probly the worst with 2handers (most damage comes out of your abilities)...i just didnt think it was that good..that leaves Reaver and another spec..that ive already done lol

"Screws up the entire game" is exaggerating. All it does is change the look of a couple items. If you're playing on PC I wouldn't recommend uninstalling Warden's Keep. You'll lose the Power of Blood talents, and there are fixes that restore Vigilance and Sentinel Armour to how they are supposed look. Starfang and Warden Armour are fine to use in OC they won't cause any problems other than not transferring to Awakening. RtO stuff transfers fine though for some reason.

Console fix is to uninstall WK right before you start a new game in Awakening. If you don't do this and attempt to remove it during your playthrough, you'll get an error message. Not sure if this has been remedied by Bioware.

Meh dont worry about it, the game wasnt exactly designed to be run on Consoles.

Though I have a argument for say Starfang vrs Nugcrusher in the early game (CGM does the most damage for a two hander in the entire game but its not availible till the later half of the game)

Starfang does more damage but Nugcrusher allows more abilitys to be be spammed instead of standing around auto attacking and waiting on Stamina to fill back up.

I can definetly attest to the usefulness of extra Stam (I was amased the change have 30 will+ everything else Str made on my twohand warriors)

And I stole it lol !

Having 25-30 Will and everything else Str for a Two hand Warrior helps alot IF your not using any gear that boosts your Stamina. If you have about +75 extra Stamina you dont need it.

you mean just on pure damage? since your STR is through the roof?

Willpower gives you extra mana and Stamina, whci is needed to fuel the Talents. I prefer to invest 30+ pts into Willpower than place all pts into STR; less need to depend on specific items and frees up your inventory slot choices.

Just FYI, Nugcrusher's stamina bonus changes to help WIZARDS, especially Arcane Warriors with a high Magic stat.  I routinely have Morrigan running around with Nugcrusher, casting LOTS of spells and then striding in to whallop the survivors.

Yeah I knew that, that same setup only place Leilanas Chest armor in there for more stamina....I mean Mana ;)
