I don't hate Oghren that much, I just grew sick of him because of the way he was treated in Awakening. I'd often tease and joke with him in Origins and he'd always approve, yet when I do the same in Awakening it's like I'm suddenly a monster that deserves to be shot.

I think that can be attributed to his kid and felsi situation

but I agree, first time I joked with him (something about medicine while in amaranthine) he freaked out

Oh I gave him a chance, when to Orzammar first one time to make sure I gave him a chance. And he has both some deep, moving moments (Like in front of the Guardian and with the Branka confrontation) and genuine funny moments. But they are few and far between and filling those rather large gaps are fart jokes, drunken rips, and cheesy sexual innuendos. What can I say, I just don't see him as an impressive or well written character.

All I'm saying is that if Oghren comes back, he better be willing to take a damn joke. I had to walk around on eggshells when talking to Oghren in Awakening, because even the most innocuous comment seemed cause for offence. ... That, and the way approval reverted to zero in Awakening. We were bros, Oghren! Did our bromance mean nothing to you?!

It is unlikely they will bring a character back the third time.

It just serves to take away the feeling of a brand new story, if all old friends show up.

I love Oghren. A drunken, violent little man with some of the funniest lines in the game.



Not to mention his monologue when you meet the Guardian of the Ashes is one of my favorite moments from DA:O



It'd be nice to see him along for another adventure.

I must admit, I've yet to do a dwarf play in Origins, if I get myself around to it (which I doubt as there is no dwarven LI's other than what humans or elves get but don't appeal to me) I will use him in my playthrough :-)
