I know it has been discussed several times already on the forums, but I have not found any solution. Also, I'm curious
how many people now actually have the issues. What Im also curious about is why for some people it works perfectly fine and for others it does totally not.

Anyway, from day one since I gotten Lelianas song she showed up bald and not at all in cutscenes, except for 2 so far where she was quickly shown, with hair. For the rest she is talking air.

I decided just now to anyway play and it was fun. Until I wanted to plant the papers in the desk in the bedroom, I cannot do it, the moment I click the desk the game crashes to desktop. This is where I am at the moment stuck.

The only content I have installed is Biowares own DLC and I tried already disabling it all which did not help. I also tried reinstalling the Lelianas Song DLC itself without any success. Ingame download does not even start when I try to reinstall it via ingame. I would have to rebuy it to do it there. Via the updater went fine.

I dont own Awakening. Game is patched to 1.04. The game itself is for me very stable and almost never crashes. I I have been looking around already to try and find a fix but so far no good. Maybe somebody else has an idea on what to do?

Maybe  a bit of a pointless post seeing how often this already has been discussed but it was nice to vent for a moment anyway :P.

Completed Leliana's song once without the issues you mention. Saw her in all cut-scenes for as far as I can remember and never saw her bald. What are your system specifications, Windows version, audio+video driver versions and graphic settings?

For as far as the crashing goes, try running in windowed mode with audio turned off through the launchers configurator, will this get you past the point where you normally crash?

I tried what you suggested, did nothing though. I also did not expect it to help, it seems to have nothing to do with video driver or sound driver issues. But anyway, for completeness of info; I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, the game I run with settings fully maxed out using driver version 197.13 (nVidia) and for audio version 2.17.0008 (Creative).

It is also all the time exactly the same spot (the crash): When I try and use the desk in the bedroom. The game itself never crashes (ok, a few times when I alt tabbed, but this also 9 out of 10 times goes without any trouble. Its really only just this DLC.

And my specs:

Intel I7 860 @3.3 Ghz (stable overclock in everything I use, also Dragon Age itself).
Geforce GTX 275
8 GB DDR3 Ram
X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty (with last driver update this soundcard finally works properly under Windows 7).

I have seen now several times people posting the same issues I describe here. Unless this DLC does something really special at this point Im not aware of and or people with the same issues have very similar hardware / driver configurations I have I doubt the cause is my PC. However Im still open for suggestions ;).

Im going to try and reaply patch 1.04 now, maybe this does something.  Edit: Tried this just now, did not help.

I have the exact same problem. Leliana is bald during gameplay, invisible in cutscenes with a few temporary exceptions, and the game crashes whenever I try to plant the documents in the desk. I've reinstalled the DLC several times, re-downloaded and installed again.... but nothing works. Other than this, the game has always run like a charm for me. I have Windows Vista. I've tried playing it with both the 1.03 patch and the 1.04 patch. I've uninstalled awakening and all the other DLC's and then reinstalled them again. Same results every time. I emailed EA and tried everything they suggested, but it didn't help either.

Same problems for my DLC too.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the thing more times than I can count, even removed Mods.

Windows 7 64bit, 8800GTS card

Purchased through steam (Digital Deluxe) all other mods thus far work perfectly, except awakening at the end, game felt like showing me killing The Mother a few times over.

The big question is: Will this ever be fixed? I would really like to finish it some time and right now it is impossible. It is good to notice that Witch Hunt is being fixed and all, but why not this one? After several months that is...

Leliana's Song is STILL the only one I've had trouble with. After two days of it being stuck at Downloading...0%, I finally had to manually install it. Sucks that it's not working at all past that point for you. That's a good story, too. I found it enjoyable. A little on the short side, though.

Have you tried to manually install it? Maybe forcing it to install might fix whatever hiccup keeps poleaxing it.

It seems to me, it's a game code problem/incompatibility. You redownloaded the content; that is what I would have tried first. You have updated video drivers. You've patched the game. Sounds like the only likely culprit would be something causing errors between the game and Windows. Have you done all your Windows Updates? I don't know how much DAO relies on such mystical chicanery as Net Framework and C++ or whatnot, but it's possible that updating might help.

You've probably already tried that though. If it happens in the same exact spot, seems like Bioware/EA could get a handle on it fairly quick. For those with the Steam version, maybe Steam could help. They'll probably just refer you right back to Bioware, but it's worth a shot. If they've come across a solution previously, they would let you know. It's a pain to get into their tech support section, but once you create a separate account for it, it's not too tricky.

BioWare have your money and don't give a flying **** about your problems. They have said they have no plans of supporting DLC post-release. If you have issues, they will not help you, period.  Solution?  Don't support their bull**** and stop buying these half-assed continuity-raping add-ons.

Mine is stuck at 0% and I'd love to manually install it, but there's no 'bin_ship' folder or daupdater.exe file. I downloaded DAO from steam. Is that why?

K I can not find this anywhere but the question I have is I missed getting Leliana in the main game (Xbox 360) and have since gone through and finished the game without her but now I want to download her DLC but since I missed her is that going to not let me play the DLC or will it magically giver her to me? Any help would be nice thanks, BTW I love Dragon age origins and Awakening and can't wait for DA 2...

No effect. The DLC is a standalone adventure starring Leliana, but is actually a prequel to DA:O

So even if you missed her in Origins, in the prequel, you haven't even met her yet. :)
