SteveGarbage wrote...Ah the good old out of context pull. A classic for people with an agenda

Nothing is taken out of context. If you read what was posted, you would understand this. In actuality, you are taking it out of context.

You can spin it however you want. I posted the section of the article that you claim has BioWare saying that Dragon Age 2 is a console-designed game, and the quote that you reference in the context you reference it is wrong. There's no gray area about it.

But if you're convinced that Dragon Age 2 is going to be "Lord of the Mass Effect," then there's no sense in wasting my time any more with it. There's hardly any evidence to support that assertation based on the slim collection of information that's been released about that game. If having VO and a dialogue wheel makes Dragon Age into Mass Effect in your eyes, then yes it is the DA doomsday — it will be Lord of the Mass Effect, you'll hate it and so will everyone else, BioWare will go out of business and RPGs in all forms will cease to exist within the next 5-10 years. Sad.

it's not taken out of context, it's just you refusing to acknowledge facts, and that quote is proof. DA2 is being made for consoles, specifically xbox

Regardless of features being put in, it is being designed for console gamers.

So..

ignore the good, focus on the bad?

If they don't focus on the bad, how will BioWare know they are screwing up?

Now, the game mainly sold on console, so we're going the way of the audience

I'm pretty sure they are focusing on making the console version better. The PC version was fin, apparently, and the console version wasn't exactly on par with the PC version. It's been said many times that they want to make the console experience better by tweaking it to better suit the console rather than trying to port a PC game to a console setting.

It's merely assuming to believe that the PC will become consolized because they want to make the console version better for consoles. (Although I'm in the dark regarding how either version will turn out as you are; I'm just speculating)Posted Image

Sadly, regardless of being factually correct as well as being extremely passionate about the subject of gaming,  Bioware are driven by money, this should be apparent by the sudden drop of "CRPG" "back to there roots" and "Dragon Effect". I of course, do not wish to be correct, reality simply chooses to make it that way.

After applying the use of the internet internet in order to find out exactly what this means due to not having toilet humor, I must say, it's shocking and appalling that such juvenile derogatory insults are being used as opposed to civil discussion.

So your blatant disregard for everyone's opinion is civil?

Calling all people who choose to play games on a console barbaric is civil?

Please do not bring color into this.
There is nothing to argue, it has been established, personal attacks wont change that.

Hello DA fans,
I am consideriing between preordering DA2 for the PC or the 360. Now, I would have gone straight to the console version because that's just how I was raised (Baldur's Gate PS2!) and I love holding a controller, but I've read that there may be stronger differences between gameplay styles in each version than in DAO. I have never gotten to experience mods or patches: am I missing out on the after party? What do you guys think?

console: somewhat cheaper, less control options

PC: Better controls, graphics, can be pirated, bad for your eyesight

Oh right, how could I have been so foolish. You claim you're right despite the actual facts, so you must be! My mistake. I hope we can get past all this.

It's an idiom. "Pot calling the kettle black" is used "to accuse a person or thing of being marked with or guilty of the very thing they are pointing out". He's not being racist, and if you're considering him a racist...well... I don't know what's wrong with you. Posted Image

Of course we "get it" Tomes, that doesn't take away our right to derail this thread. 10€ is like $15 right? You'd be a quarter the way to buying the regular addition of DA.

EDIT: Though the OP seemed genuine, these PC vs Console threads never go well, and should be discouraged

Many say the pc port of ME1 was the superior version, and nearly everyone agrees that DA:O was better on pc. But ME2 was accused of being too console-based.

Both ME and ME2 play like console ports, but ME at least plays like a good console port.  ME2's PC implementation is pretty poor.

They didn't even bother giving us hotkeys for things like the journal and swaud screens, presumably because the consoles don't have them (for wont of enough buttons).  The PC has no such limitation, but somehow no one told ME2's port team that.
