Also, I was genuinely unaware that there were people out there who preferred thumbstick control over mouse-and-keyboard for shooters.  How can you stand being so imprecise?

In my hands, a mouse and keyboard are about as "precise" as, oh, the turning radius the Titanic.  Sometimes I miss the old joystick days.  'Course, I'm sure I'd be even worse with a controller.  Bottom line: use what's most comfortable and precise for you.

The precision of M/KB for FPS = unrealistic nonsense.  You can do JUMPING 360 spins while holding a M-16 in counterstrike, and pull of head shots.

At least w/ THumbsticks it's more "realistic" in that you can't nail perfect headshots w/ a pistol while running :)

Thanks for the opinions. I knew the answer was really "wait and see," but I just had to ask because I really haven't played anything on the PC before. Let's all just hope DA2 will be good, no matter the console, and end the debate for now.

I enjoy both PC and console games, and I use a XBox 360 controller with my 40" HDTV with plenty of PC games. But when it comes to playing tactical games and first-person shooters, I want mousecontrol all the way. I cannot imagine playing DA:O with a controller, that would be like having my fingers sawed off with a blunt saw.

I like the PC, myself. I have both the console and the PC editions of DAO, and I prefer the PC edition, because it's easier to control movement with the mouse, and because I can mod the heck out of it.You can't mod a console game.
