So,

My old computer giot fried in a lightningstorm a week back and as i now have a brand new computer with windows 7 64bit version.. ( dont know if thats even relevant .. me and computers is .. iffy. ) things just.. doesnt seem to work quete as well. let me try to explain.

On my old computer wich ran XP sp 3, i played dragon age origins/awakening many times over, i bought every dlc known to man and played thru em and used em. Now nothing shows up.. i cant download anything for my game anymore.. i can pla yawakening, thats not an issue, but i cannot seem to get any downloadable contents such as ostagar or blood armor or any of the neat dlc's wich make dragon age so much better and neater :). My last layed dlc was leilianas song one.

Do i have to pay for them all once more? are they a "buy once per system" kind of deal?.. if so i dont even want to considert he headache ill get on ME2 when i reisntall that ..

I have actually taken the time to look through the forum first, contrary to popular belief, and i have attempted this" netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=disabled " fix , wich did absolutely nothing.. i have no router but my firewalls have al the oprts required opened for it. To be honest i can play the game with no dlc's.. its just a mattter of flavor i suppose.

So, any help or hints as to how i could resolve this, if it even is resolvable.. i figured sme headache would follow a new windows.. maybe this is just the price for upgrading?. anyways thank you in advance.

Signed - S

ah nevermind.. i caused that issue myself with the " netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=disabled " fix.. i assuemd it had been enabled so i enabled it when it didnt do anything.. thats what made the game wonky in regards to teh log in issue. so i just shut it off again. but thank you Jack, your an angel, saved my weekend there :)

Check your firewall settings for permission for DAOrigins.exe and daupdatersvc.service.exe to access the internet.

Check that you are logged in DA:O with the same account you used to purchase your DLCs. If you connect to this account using your web browser and go to your registered game promotions page, you should see a list of all your DLCs.

funny thing is.. this account should have ME2 regged too.. but according to my profile its not. tho all ME2 dlc's are listed aswell on the website. i wonder whats that about tho. someone mentioned a troubleshoot guide linking to a "chat" option, but i could find no such page.. EA seems to have no actual troubleshooting for dragon age.

Concerning your issue with DLC download, try to start Dragon Age Updater service prior to launching DA:O. For this, open Windows main menu, select Run..., enter "services.msc" without the quotes and press Enter. In the Services window, look for Dragon Age: Origins - Updater service. Right-click on this service and select Start. Once the service has started, close the window and launch DA:O.
