Don't underestimate the Praetorian. It's easy enough to beat, but it takes only one slight miscalculation and you're dead. It can float over some covers. This is why I recommend always moving in good time so it's at long range.
A little help with the Horizon Battle?

As a Sentinel, here's how I deal with Husks rush on that level. Always have tech armor on, and shoot each husk just enough to strip their armor and move on to the next. Because without their armor, when the tech armor blows up it will knock them down, sometimes even killing them.
And keep running around until all the husks are killed, then deal with the scions. The scions are slow anyway so they aren't a threat if you move around. Just be aware of where they are so you don't get hit by their waves as you are dealing with the husks. Forget about trying to find a safe place, there probably isn't one.
Ignore the squadmates for a while. They'll likely be down in this section anyway. Revive them if you think you need help with the scions, if not then kill the scions and the squadmates will be back.

I must have been really lucky then.
In any case, some places are definitely safer than others. I learned that the corners are probably the worst places to stay, since husks and collectors will spawn there. Right next to one of the corners in the back is actually pretty good, however.

If you don't mind being a dirty cheating cheater who cheats, you can attack the Scions before entering the area and they won't react.
I'll admit, I almost always do this.
The fight is just as easy with two Scions up if the Husks are dealt with properly so I just have a little fun and pop the first one's shoulder before I go down the stairs. This isn't the hard part of Horizon anyways, the next part is.

With Sniper Rifles you can actually kill both Scions before you enter the area. One's back is visible on the far right of the door, and the arm/gun is visible of the other at the far left of the door. With proper shooting you can take out both before you enter and have to deal only with the husks. Yeah, I know cheating, but hey, it does make this area slightly easier.

The Praetorian... that is the easiest fight. Just let it chase you around the communication tower and place your squad at opposite sides of the tower (just out of the Praetorians AoE attack... so they don't get killed). The Praetorian fires at and chases only Shepard. Your squad can kill is for you.

That's a really boring way to kill the Praetorian. If you think it's so easy, be a real warrior and kill it yourself
