Oh crud. That may indeed be Blum as Varric.
If he doesn't do his Oghren voice, I'm fine.
His Gorim voice with a little more suave into it and I'd be perfectly fine.

Steve as Spike Sort of like Gorim but less gruff. Spike is the skinny guy with the puffy green hair.

That's a developer video.
Unless he's somewhere that I didn't see in that video?

Spike, but a little gruffer/lower. There'd be swoonage.

Yeah, I don't like Gorim's voice as much as I used to.. I only enjoyed it because it was unique amongst his acting that I knew about. Yet that guy sounds exactly like him.

Almost. I think Gorim's voice sounds a little flatter to me, almost bordering on monotone. Spike voice has more variation and sounds a bit more youthful perhaps? They're similar for sure but somehow I vastly prefer Spike.

Stills sounds too similar to me, like Grunt / Oghren sounded almost alike but had a few differences.

Sounds pretty much the same in the opening lines of that clip but if you watch more of him you start to notice the difference. I mean you can still tell it's Steve though.

I demand gameplay footage. If not, I will venture to Canada and pace to and fro in front of Bioware's headquarters with my 'the end is nigh' sign.

Sacred Ashes was one of the last trailers to come out, I can't dig out the first trailer because it would probably be 4-5 years old and really outdated.

The first trailer was at E3 2008 and I believe it was about the Battle of Ostagar.

Official Channel
I'm not sure which one is the very first or if it's even up there but you can see some of the earlier ones for sure.

the interaction between Varic and the Seeker is pretty good. Varic has a pretty good humorous but gruff voice.
*gasp!* You heard Varric's voice?
Humorous but gruff, eh? Did it sound like Steve Blum?
I remember the laugh the best and I cant recall Steve Blum's voice though. He just seemed like a guy I would like to get a drink with at a pub. He definitely was messing with the Seeker. Reminded me of Princess Bride a bit with the recalling of scenes and narrating style.
Steve Blum does a crapload of VO work. He was Oghren, Gorim, Irving, Grunt and Wrex, plus a million other non-Bioware characters.
Yay that sounds awesome. Princess Bride is <3
