Sure, it's a feat to kill a dragon, and if you tell the ladies about it, they'll lie at your feet until they realize you're not going to pay them with dragon-gold.

But try to tell anybody that you killed some huuuge spiders. And that you fought with a jelly (and almost died). Afterwards you very nearly fell for really inconvenient grease.
I mean, seriously...
That's almost as bad as confessing that you acquired some used underwear (by employing theft and blackmail) in order to have somebody make a fullbody suit out of them - for you to wear.
"Was that before or after you met the talking chicken and hamster?"
- "I never said the hamster spoke!"

In other news, I've botchered up my installation and realized only after reaching chapter 6 that half of my spells/abilities don't work properly, and now I'm pondering on whether to redo the installation and start again from the beginning (possibly try to get to my current position by use of cheats) or continue as is...

Now you see why Vikings chiefs kept tossing gold armbands to their bards in exchange for good PR ballads to use to impress the girls with their heroic deeds. Volo just doesn't cut it.
About the only one in BG2/ToB who REALLY seems to care about the PCs problems/deeds is a certain Beholder you bump into a few times. Image IPB

I was thinking of Volo, too.
