I have saved at a point in playing Soldier's Peak (DLC) after crossing the bridge into Avernus' Tower, right in front of the vial of blood on the table to be exact.
After I have talked to or killed Avernus, does not matter which, on my way back the door will not let me go downstairs. I can get out of Avernus' tower, I can cross the bridge into the area where I fought Sophia, but then it will not let me go downstairs. It is on my mini-map where the door is but there is no action icon to let me continue. My auto-save and my one regular save slot are both beyond this point, so I cannot load a previous save. I've tried dying to Avernus, letting him live, drinking the vial/not drinking it, I'm not sure what else to do.
Someone please help and tell me that I don't have to play the entire game over again on account of this stupid glitch.
Cannot leave Soldier's Peak!

Did you kill Sophia? If you did you need to talk to Avernus and get him to come with you. You can kill Avernus like Sophia asked or get him to accompany you back to seal the Veil. Someone has to seal the Veil, Avernus or Sophia.
