I've played through BG a few times and recently reinstalled it on my computer (running XP all settings in English). I have trouble loading some of the maps- like one of the forest maps on the way to Nashkel from Beregost, a few around the Gnoll Stronghold. It will pull up the map, save the game, and then promptly take me back out to my desktop with a "send error report" notice. I've noticed it happens mostly on maps requiring the second CD. This isnt' the first time I've had this problem, and it's kind of annoying. Occasionally, it will load the map if you find just the right spot to enter it from, which seems completely random to me. I've done no cheats and added no extras to the original game.

Did you at least patch the game? Sorry, if you havent, but I in order to help you better, I have to ask this question.
