 So i get back from vacation and start up my xbox 360 and it downloads a new patch which I assumed would fix everything that was happening before I left.

Well sure enough it downloads the patch and I still cannot load or START a new game. So i come here to the forums and clear my cache, AND i DELETED all the DLC "marketplace content files" and re downloaded them.

Now I get the following message:

"Unable to load save game as the required downloadable content is not present on the selected storage device. Please insert a storage device containing the required downloadable content, or download the downloadable content again."

And under the line there is NO downloadable content. If I were for example to skip the download of Leliana's Song for Example it would say under that quoted statement above Leliana's Song. BUT it says NOTHING, i did all the steps and this game does not work. PLEASE!!!!! Help

EA told me to delete everything, all DAO files and clear the cache...and still cannot play the game and that counts for playing with any patch, and with the patch



still gives me errors



for a new game with no patching or downloads it says



the save file appears to be damaged and cannot be loaded



otherwise it gives me the same message



and of course this started on the date the 1.04 patch was released

When you're not connected to the DA servers, I believe the only DLC that shows up in the in-game content manager are items for which you have the offline licenses (since those are the only "valid" ones). You should only be seeing the message when your save is using content for which you have no offline license, and the dialog box should call out what it can't find (e.g. "Embri's Many Pockets" or whatever), unless the latest title update changed the way that gets reported.

I'm sorry for re-opening this thread, but I am really at a loss. I have encountered the same problem at the author since installing the 1.04 patch and DLC content. There have been a couple other posts in the forum that relate to this, but no solution has been found. Concurrently, I have also cleared my cache and deleted all data related to the game with no luck. Re-installing and/or repatching has not fixed the problem. Any help in this matter would be much appreciated!

Just to respond to my own message - the only solution I could find was to buy a new version of the game with all of the DLC included...(Ultimate Edition). Now it runs like a champ.
