- Sometimes at the end of "Return to Ostagar" DLC, the quest log is not updating on the last object on the quest, forcing you to re-load.

This happened to me today. Good there was an autosave just before the last part.

Alistair always refers to himself as king, as do the codex and epilogue slides more often than not.

(Origins) Shapeshifter specialization bug (damage is supposed to be based on MAG, not STR)



(Origin) Sten needs a pre-specialization and a racial bonus for fairness' sake.



(Origins) I would love it if they actually patched the limited collector's items to look like they are supposed to. Bergen's Honor and Final Reason look much more awesome on their item avatars than in game where they as some stupid Templer helm/standard wand. People payed a premium for these items, so it seems like a giant bird to the faithful that these items look so common.



(Awakening) Clarifying: Dropping the Blackblade boots and gloves somewhere in game. As I understand it, these items are in the game's code, but just are not accessible for some reason.

if you kill genitivi after getting the ashes the codex says that he was never heard from again then two paragraphs later it says he mounts an expedition to retrieve the ashes, and there is a permanent quest marker in denerim pointing to his house (ps3 1.04 patch)

Codex keeps saying Arlessa Isolde sacrifices herself to save Connor even though I went to the mages to get help.

Speaking of Genitivi/Urn, there is another glitch when you spoil the ashes then betray Kolgrim and kill the high dragon. During the ending it'll say that the cult was gaining followers(even though I killed them all) and that a dragon was sighted in Ferelden. Who knows, maybe it's a different high dragon...but if it is, I want to be able to find it. I love those big ole' loot pinatas

On the Xbox 360 (apparently it doesn't happen on PC, not sure about PS3) there is a huge glitch at the end of the game for a male human noble marrying Anora.

-I ask Anora to marry me. She agrees. We go to the landsmeet
-I do not harden Alistair, have Alistair kill Loghain, and it's still eft to me to decide the throne.
-I say I will marry Anora, she says yes (because I did not kill Loghain).
-Codex says Alistair killed Loghain and took the throne, and Anora is deposed.
-Alistair is referred to and refers to himself as King and gives the speech before the final battle.
-Anora doesn't appear at the corronation but Anora is corronated and refers to me as her betrothed (Voice works but no character model)
-Epilogue then plays for Anora ruling alone.
-Then "King" Alistair appears at the beginning of Awakening.

I have been able to overlook other glitches, but this is a real game breaker. I don't know how much it would take to patch, but I'm not the only one to come across this.

PLEASE BIOWARE!

Only commenting on those items where I'm pretty sure I know the issue:
- [Origins] Arl of Denerim Estate glitch which caused the guard armor to be unremovable.
  Valid issue.  Workarounds exist (don't use AoE talents/spells when entering estate).
- [Origins] Warden commander set from warden's keep DLC do not give any set bonus.
    Valid issue on console.
- [Origins] No reward is received for completing the Shaper's Life, bringing the tracing of the Golem Memorial.
    Valid issue.  Workarounds for PC
- [Origins] Orphanage mission in the alienage having the door locked and impeeding progress.
    I've never seen this on PC and you may need to be more specific.

-[Awakening] Armor Texture glitches fixes related to warden's keep

-[Awakening] The Blackblade tunic not being available (seriously this is like the best rouge armor and you can't even get the whole set)
   There are no rouges in this game, but I agree that the rogues have this as a valid error (workarounds exist for PC only)
- [Awakening] If we want to conscipt everyone, we have to recruit Justice last, othwise Sigrun or Valena can't join the wardens. We deprive ouselves of a tank for the most part of the game because of this. Allow the option to conscript the missing warden if we didn't do a righteous path last.
   The fix for this is to "deal with it".  Every possible party NPC can be recruited early.  I don't expect BW to fix it, even though it's immersion-breaking to get everyone through the Joining and metagaming as well.
- [Awakening] Accepting the quest Law and Order in Amaranthine will eliminate your ability to initiate Sigrun's
personal quest. A dwarven woman standing at the bottom of the steps
leading up to the tavern will no longer spawn if this quest has been
accepted. If you picked up both Law and Order and Smuggler's Run and
decide to side with the smugglers instead, it will cancel the bug out.
  This should be fixed in 1.04.  Are you saying that it is not?

- [Awakening] The infamous Silverite Mine glitch.
  100% agree, significant gamebreaking bug.  There are workarounds available for all platforms (basically, "don't have anything equipped that is specific to a specialization, and don't equip anything that would normally require Strength on AWs, and there are some other details.)
-[General] Problem with "Spirits or Arcane Warriors using fade shroud" that causes them to look weird (you can see their eyeballs and inner jaw).
  That's been around since the original, and I don't expect a fix.  It's not imperfect, but...it's likely a limitation of the engine as executed.

I've only gotten the Awakening quest Velanna's Exile once in 4 playthroughs (and in two of them, I spent hours trying to get the encounter)

Fix the issue that when an armor set with set bonus is being used by the player, that goes to camp, and returns to battle the bonus gets removed, and in order to get the bonus again you have to re-equip everything.

Long story short:
Player using Armor Set + Bonus in Battle= With Bonus Set
Player returns to camp = No bonus set
Player returns to battle = No bonus set
Player re-equips everything= With bonus set


What i mean by bonus set is when you equip everything of the same armor type and get a bonus for wearing it
Ex: Sentinel Armor Set, if you wear the entire set, you get a 50 Stamina boost

I've heard about this problem before. From what I undertsand all you need to do is switch one piece of armor out and then put it back on. You can also try switching weapon sets. Although it only switches out your weapons it has been reported to reactivate your bonuses from sets.

Velanna's Exile won't start, Blackblade gloves & boots aren't in the game, Sentinal Armor & Vigilance doesn't have the correct appearance, Rally won't turn off after been used certain companions, Herren & Amaranthine stock resets itself; these are at the top of my head for the moment of the bugs on Xbox 360.

- The enemies in the gauntlet can be invisible, you can't see them, except for the red ring around them.

How about master warden/blight-queller achievements? I thought for sure they'd be fixed by the 1.04 patch. Just did a solo playthrough (as many claim it's only PC kills), and hit 557 darkspawn kills and got nothing. This is in addition to my 4+ playthroughs totaling well over 3000 kills.

I might add that there is possibly a problem with Velanna's quest. The seemingly random encounter with her former clan, is not triggering for a lot of players (myself included). I suspect the issue is similar to the one affecting Sigrun's quest.
And also:
  • [Awakening] Bombs Away! not being completed after the fourth Lyrium Sand it turned in. (I believe this happens if you turn in more then 1 sand at a time.)

There is a bug (in Awakening) that every gift that you give to Oghren only gives him +6 approval. Also, the 100 approval bug.



And all the bugs associated with Random Encounters. For example, Velanna's Exile never triggered for me. Neither did the location where you can find the Dragonbrand greatsword.

Dragon Age and its respective expansions/DLC are so bug ridden it's not even funny. It took them fully 9 months to patch 2/3 permanently game breaking bugs that were identified right after the game launched. Patch 1.03, released to make way for Awakenings, broke core abilities in the game (stealing) and they took 4 months to even start verbally acknowledging the issues let alone the following 2 months it took to actually do the work.

DA2 is scheduled to launch in just a few months. How many resources do you think they'll dedicate to this game once it comes out? They simply won't be available.

Hey, I try to be optimistic. As far as time goes, I've been getting the feeling that part of the reason they are quiet for so long is that it takes them a while to get approval to make a patch, either from EA, or Microsoft and Sony.

I was happily on your side of the fence up until the release of Awakenings & Patch 1.03. Patch 1.03 specifically screwed me. I certainly can't fault optimism, though I tend to be more and more cynical as I get older, but compared to what I'm used to in game quality and what I'm used to in past years I am extremely disappointed with Bioware and can't bring myself to ever say nice things about them.

I'd be thrilled if Bioware fixed any of the listed bugs, but I had the feeling that 1.04 was them just throwing us a bone and once DA2 is out, Origins will be dead to them. Hopefully I'm proven wrong. If the patches for the game weren't so few and far in between, I'd feel differently.  Heck, I don't even think Bioware looks at the tech support forums, or at least not often, which is why I'm hesistant to post anything here and not on the general forums instead.
