This is actually somewhat of a response to the PC v. Console topic, but more of a question towards either devs or forumgoers who are more up-to-date than I am. I realize Mac gamers are a very small minority, but I loved being able to play DA:O on my Macbook through the deal with Transgaming, and am greatly enjoying RTO as well. :D
Are there any discussions/negotiations/plans/thoughts of any sort going on, in this vein? For example, has Transgaming expressed an interest in porting DA2 (I would assume so, seeing that the DLC are slowly being moved over). And if so, is there any timetable for the release? Concurrent, a few weeks after, a few months after? Finally, will it be abandonware?
Just curious. :) Thanks for the input.

I avoid Macs like the plague, but can't you pull all sorts of maneuvers on a Mac to run Windows applications, like dual booting and WINE?

Maybe, Mass Effect 2 was on Steam right? Valve is doing the Mac and PC thing now so, who knows.

facepalm* just because is on steam DOES NOT mean that its compatible with  mac, thats up to the developer if they programed the game to be mac os compatible NOT valve.

Yep. It's still nice to have Mac versions of things, though. Blizzard is great about that. <3

I would be happy if BioWare developed even a Mac version of the game, though I use Windows.

Microsoft sucks with his totally pro-console politics, so it would be nice to have some competition instead of the current Microsoft monopoly that made them worried only for the console market.

Yup, that's how I run Mass Effect-- using Bootcamp to dual boot. However, it is preferable (to me) to game in my native OS, so. :)

I dont think The Mac's processor is enough to handle Pong

Hopefully it will come out for the Macs, then I won't have to hear my brother (a rediculous fanboi) whine and complain all the time.

Disclaimer: I have nothing against Macs, just fanbois of any type, even Windows or Linux ones.

You may be shocked to hear this but Macs come in different specs.

I played DA:O, DA:A, and most of the DLCs and I own a mac. Of course I had to use bootcamp to run Windows XP 32 and installed Windows 7 64 later. At least I thought it was worth it, as opposed to putting up with the lack of content the people playing DA:O on OS X had to put up with.

You see, the real problem is, unless you own a mac desktop or a higher end macbook pro, you won't exactly have great performance. On High textures, framerates for me run between 10-20 fps and lower in big battles, windowed mode, 1024x768. Dropping it to medium or low only gains about 5 frames, so I don't bother with that. Task manager shows CPU usage hitting 80-100 consistently. This is on a '09 Macbook Pro 13".

OS X is a reliable operating system, but for the price, Macs don't offer as much performance as other computer setups. To be honest, any computer enthusiast leaning towards mac should consider getting a machine with dual hard drives and putting a hackintosh partition on one and windows on the other instead of buying an Apple machine.

Ah yes, "video games", the interactive programs which make you spend time and have fun. We've dismissed that claim.

its so sad

You would think developers would invest in hind market clients,

but SOMA, is for the masses

thats why it comes to PC and consoles and to Macs.

If you don't understand the references, to bad.

dragon age works just fine on my macbook pro i5. I'm hoping that DA2 will be released on Apple. No glitches, freezes, errors, what-have-you's...no complaints at all. Those who claim that Apple is good for nothing have their head so far up their rears...its hardly worth the time
