RPGs are all about risk/reward.  Reaver sounds cool, I loved Shadow Knights in other RPGs but..

at the cost of 2 of the best party members? Is there any way to get Reaver without forcing the Bard and Healer to get mad and leave .. I've read that even if they are not in the party,

Well, the way I see it, both Wynne and Leliana can be replaced pretty easily if you throw some creation spells on Morrigan and can stand using Zevran for things like lockpicking.

You can just save before the fight, and unlock it...and then reload and do it the other way >.>

I wonder if BW is going to fix the 'ole save/unlock/reload "cheat."

It's not a cheat.. it's an achievement. Just like Mass Effect...

I know that this is off-topic, but I feel an urge to say that I *dislike* this game mechanism.
Edited typo and added this: Even more off-topic: And somehow, it reminds me Andy Messiah's ME review on RPGCodex, it was quite a good... :)

They included a Reaver specialization book in Awakening for a reason, I figure. :P

If you don't bring them, they won't leave if you say the right things at camp.

You can also 'harden' Leilana so she will not have negative reactions to what you do, in order to do so you must complete her personal quest and I believe have her approval at 100. There will then be a conversation dialogue option.

if they arent in your party until after you do the reaver unlock, they still will leave/have a cutscene when you go to camp the next time
