When I first look at this thread I thought I read Tom Brady. LOL But Tom Hardy would be great!

There have been exactly three occasions where I have gone to Caroline and said "I want this actor, please" and my first choice was both available and interested.

Amusingly, the infamous "MEG" is one of those occasions.

And the other two?

On topic: I too praise Tom Hardy's hotness, but there's no way BioWare can afford him. I think.

Maybe he'd do it for "a couple o' bob" if he was convinced he was still in Oliver Twist by a hypnotist or something...that's pretty cheap nowadays...

With the recession "a couple o' bob" could range from a fiver to one billion dollars.
Tom Hardy is a lost cause...
Andrew Lincoln on the other hand... :innocent:

He'd want the "sommat extra" before agreeing to do it, and you'd just keep him :P

Now if they could get Michael C. Hall to be a reaper, that would be awesome :D

The overall word budget is a separate consideration. I recall people saying that full VO recording for DAO would naturally mean that it would be a shallow experience. After all, who would spend money to record all that VO and still have lots of responses and paths for dialogue? Nobody! So yeah... things are not as simple as you make it out to be.

Mr Gaider, do you believe that voicing Hawke prevented the developers from expanding on Hawke's responses and paths for dialogue as compared to DA:O, or because there are only 2 Hawke VO (male/female), as opposed to 12 for all of the Origins (which would have been required had the Warden been VO), the budget allowed for a similar # of responses/dialogue paths in DA2?
