I'm curious why people would object to a crossover?

Because they are conservative and feel that crossovers may weaken the serious tone found in both franchises.

I wouldn't be opposed to visual nods, like what Crystal Dynamics did for Legacy of Kain in Tomb Raider Legend.

I don't know if I should congratulate you for trying to rationalize talimancing in another game, or facepalm because thats a terrible terrible idea.

Really. Is there anything wrong with BioWare creating a "non-canon" crossover? Just for laughs?

No, well..................yes? That is if you're willing to give a sizeable monetary donation to the design team.

Why not? We already have a shorty.

Sorry couldn't resist.

Because Mass Effect's sales and high review scores are ruining the genre of RPGs?

Why even have Dragons and swords?  Just make everything a "visceral" cover shooter and be done with it.

Serious Fantasy Game + Serious SF Games should = Serious Crossover.

I mean, look at the general vagueness of magic in general in the Dragon Age world.  (No outer planes, no verifyable gods other than the so-called old gods, no ressurection magic--you could explain undead with nanites) I actually think this is quite plausable.  And the fact that Bioware reps have not dismissed this outright tells me it was either planned all along or something they are considering.

That's a great idea, actually. I thought they handled those easter eggs really well.

I really wish they'd make new LoK games. Simon Templeman's Kain is, hmm, not sure there is a proper word. What's better than an amazing badass? :)

Now before everyone just says 'no' straight away, let's consider a few things.

1. Dragon Age and Mass Effect happen in the same universe. Evidence: Hock has a statue of a Darkspawn Ogre in his personal vault.

2. Dragon Age and Mass Effect happen in similar time periods. Evidence: Precisely how the statue got off-world is unknown, but for a stone statue to be in that good condition it can't be more than a thousand years old. And since it is already an antique, that suggests Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 happen in a similar time period. The likeliest possibility to me is that a Salarian observation team investigated the planet, then left it to develop further rather than disturb development.

3. Bioware listens to the fans. Evidence: Tali and Garrus romances happening due to the overwhelming demand from fans.

This can happen, and if it isn't already being developed then it easily could be. Come on Bioware, this is an opportunity. At the very least consider the delectable quarian hero as a DLC character (crashlanded ship, anyone?).

If Hawke has a harem, ok, Tali can be in it.
