1. Dragon Age and Mass Effect happen in the same universe. Evidence: Hock has a statue of a Darkspawn Ogre in his personal vault.

2. Dragon Age and Mass Effect happen in similar time periods. And since it is already an antique, that suggests Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 happen in a similar time period. 3. Bioware listens to the fans. Evidence: Tali and Garrus romances happening due to the overwhelming demand from fans.

This can happen, and if it isn't already being developed then it easily could be. Come on Bioware, this is an opportunity. At the very least consider the delectable quarian hero as a DLC character (crashlanded ship, anyone?).

ALSO, while playing the first mass effect, i realized there was a part where some civilians say "thank the maker" or something like that.

but still no to tali. that would be lame and the game would be a big joke to me

Anyone remember the good old days of Ultima 7 and that crashed Kilrathi spaceship (from Wing Commander) that farmer had in his field?

I sexed Tali in ME2, she is the most likable character. Miranda is hot, but a needy ****. Jack is damaged goods - stripper type. I can see her smoking 2 packs a day and her issues compelling her to cheat on the relationship, marrying some rich dude, and divorcing him 1.5 years later.

how could tali fit in though? what if some players of mass effect got so tired of all the stupid fanfics and tali fans that they deliberately killed her in mass effect 2 to get petty revenge?

Let's ignore Mass Effect and consider just if DA could be a "twist", an SF world gone horribly wrong.

The fade could be some form of Augmented or VI reality--VI makes sense because most people see it "in their dreams". Imagine if all life is able to access an advanced Internet via nanotech or psionic enhancement--mages had some kind of genetic link or have some sort of nanotech infection.

Fade spirits are rogue AIs, which explains the limited concepts they acknowledge. Possessing the dead involves nanotech animating a corpse. Blood magic works the same way. Elemental magic and shapeshifting is just applications of utility fog.

The maker is a AI, humans were taken from earth a long time ago and replanted into a foreign planet, some sort of lab experiment. The Darkspawn were a case of a Grey Goo infection. Other races just modified from Human base stock.

It's not unplausable.

This will not happen because it is not an intelligent/amusing/groundbreaking twist.

Perhaps they are in the same universe, however, Mass Effect takes place in the Milky Way. Dragon Age, by an odd irony, takes place in a galaxy far, far away.
