I have encountered a strange problem. After I completed the game, I decided to further rank up my Shepard and get the "No One Left Behind" achievement, as one of my squadmates died. Anyways, when I started a new game, on "Import ME2 character", after completing the Prologue: Rescue Joker assignment, and the intro for the Lazarus project assignment, the loading screen for Shepard's face creator would freeze. I restarted my Xbox over five times, yet every time the game would freeze. I tried making a new Shepard, and it worked fine.

Having the same problem. Game freezes at that part when I import my ME2 char. Any solutions? I don't want to play a "clean" character, I want my ME1 char to continue but if I do so I can't use them for a new game.

I think everyone at one point as experienced this issue. Not five times in a row.

- do a Maintenance on your Harddrive.

- Make sure you didn't do the Skill Point Glitch. Some reort New Game+ will suffer lockups if you have done this. If you have done this rest your Shepard.

If either one doesn't help. Your save for importing could be corrupted.

Well I didn't use any skill point glitch but I didn't work for my soldier. I tried it three times.

But if it does work and is not a bug that occurs every time I have hope for my sentinel and my soon to be played infiltrator. Didn't like the soldier anyway, he's pretty crappy and no fun at all compared to the first game in my opinion.

I haven't used a skill point glitch either, and I'll do a maintenance. That's strange. I really hope it isn't corrupted, because Sentinels are really, really fun to play as! I wouldn't want to lose that Shepard for ME3.

I had the same problem and I solved it.

All you need to do is delete the data of ME2 disc2. I'm pretty sure you installed the data of both discs on to your system, otherwise you wouldn't be having this problem. You can leave the data of the first disc alone, just delete the second one. Launch the game (and yes you have to watch the wickedly long opening cutscene again.)

If it doesn't work let me know. I'll be happy to help.
