Does anyone know if there is a fix or workaround for the Appearance Wizard crashing the toolset when you click the button from a creature blueprint? I remember this being a problem a couple years ago and it seems it still exists.
Anyone wanna play?

Yeah, the Appearance Wizard is mislabeled... it really should have been called the Toolset Crash Wizard instead.

I keep hearing that the appearance wizard is buggy, but I use it all the time and have been using it for a year or so. It has never once crashed on me. I must have gotten a good version of it. lol

Lucky you, I have yet to use it successfully. Gonna see if that SIN plugin is useful as an alternative, otherwise, gonna have to do appearances the hard way. Gah LOL

Man this PW sounds like the one ive been waiting for, I play WoW, and im pretty bored with it, Ive always loves NwN2 but i didnt like most the PW that were avaliable except the BG one...dunno if its still in beta or not, but i hated how there were a limit to how many chests you could get and chests are always breaking. now this was months ago, dunno about now considering its an 11gb DL ive been putting off dling it from Directbuy for a while now

My goal is to have plenty of quests to keep you doing things. There's over 100 now. When I wrote the quest system, the GUI didn't have support for dynamic sized list boxes so I had to hard code the maximum number of quests you could have active at any time. I decided on 15. I think I only had it tell me I had the max quests twice while running around in it. I may decide at some point to update the GUI's to take advantage of the newer dynamic listbox sizes to remove that 15 quest limitation. Right now, it doesn't seem to be a big deal. Happily because the quest system is so generic, its actually pretty rare that a quest just doesn't work. They all use the same scripts so when it works for one, it works for them all. I think the only time a quest doesnt work is when I fat finger a variable on an NPC. LOL.
Right now, I don't have a beta, alpha or otherwise. Just making it for fun but if you are interested in trying it out, let me know and I'll send you the connection info in a PM. I just finished getting my dungeon instances working so now back to quest writing. The dungeon instances work just like WOW where you and your party can enter a dungeon without outside interference from other groups, the mobs don't respawn in them so when you clear the dungeon, you really clear it. Different parties get their own instance, so everyone gets to enjoy a good dungeon crawl without anyone coming in and killing the named bosses on you and having to race to get to them.
