Will all your items including items such as Starfang and Helm of Honnleath from other DLC transfer into the Golems of Amgarrak DLC when you import your character?
... or is it like Awakenings where it won't?

The Stone Prisoner stuff can be imported (Helm of Honneleath and Harvest Festival Ring)
I don't know about Wardens' Keep stuff (Starfang, etc.) but give it a try.
I know some items will definitely be blocked. I tried to import a Tome of Focus (through my Awakening character's inventory) to respec both Jerrik and Brogan. Tome was not imported so it didn't work. I managed to import the whole Sentinel armor set though
All in all I liked this DLC the least. It had no content whatsoever beyond the challenging battle at the end. Plot was empty, characters were empty, nothing creative there at all. You know Leliana's Song had some 'star quality' and some fun at least.
It's like all they did this time was create a few large life bars and some nasty damage, package the whole bunch, and sell it to us.

Anything that will import into Awakening will import into GoA. Everything from Awakening will import into it. I think it also gives you one free respec tome.

I did the opposite. I finished this DLC.
HOWEVER, I would like to start the Awakening AFTER finishing this DLC, but I simply cannot import the character and his items! Does anyone know HOW to do this? Is this possible?
This DLC accepted also the Return of Ostagar items (Cailan's armor, Maric's blade, Duncan's sword etc)

You can't import from Golems into either Awakening or the original game. Not sure if there's a mod for it.

GoA happens chronologically AFTER Awakening so it makes no sense that you should be able to load a GoA save into Awakening. This would suggest that the file save structure between Origins, Awakening and GoA are all distinct from one another.
It begs the question: will all of these file structures be recognized by DA2?

Zy-El, i REALLY would LOVE to import characters from this campaign to DA2.
However, i don´t think it will be this way. As long as we saw the Awakening ending, it was so complete that it didn´t even leave a chance to have continuation for the hero.
Also, the DA2 synopsis suggest a completely different role. Pity... really a pity...

Starfang will not import. One Item I found so far. Had to go back and save my character with a couple of extra swords in my backpack and start over, first try I found myself unarmed.
