Wait wait wait. The two endings of Mordin's audio seem to signify that, if loyal, Mordin's biotic bubble would have succeeded, similarly to Jack's or Samara's.
Guess what? Everyone with biotic abilities has their own dialogue in the endgm2_biotic_success_c folder. Interestingly, Thane has a "siha" version of one of his failure lines, but only a "Shepard" version for the success case.

o.O
Darn. I guess that means while they were voice recording, Bioware was still working out the kinks of the Suicide Mission mechanics, and just wanted to cover all of their bases. I was hoping we stumbled upon some sort of amazing character change revelation.
Still, awesome that EVERYONE has success lines. I'd say you should post them if I didn't think that most of them would just be victorious-sounding grunts.

But...Mordin has no biotics. He's pure tech.
Hence why Bioware removed the dialogue. They changed their minds about making him a biotic at some point after the lines were recorded.

As for the suicide mission, I probably would've traded a couple of positions i.e. Switching Jacob from Field Leader to Biotic Bubble and making Samara good at being a leader.
I also think the escort should've been exclusive to Thane and Mordin since that job seemed to revolve around remaining unseen and that goes hand and hand with Thane and Mordin's back stories (Assassin and STG work respectively.)

indeed. Mordin as a biotic wouldn't look right to me. I would love ask the people at bioware why some of the other stuff got cut though.ReconTeam wrote...
I guess this is one cut that made sense.

Also i think there was reason that Samara/Morinth and Jack are the only two viable canidates for that role. They are technically the strongest biotics of the entire group.

Interesting to know that Mordin was intended to be a biotic. Though i kinda have my doubts about him being a viable choice for the sheild, if Miranda wasn't strong enough to create that massive biotic wave at the end then doubt Mordin could do it.
Every biotic has both success and failure lines. Jacob, Thane, all of 'em. And besides, there's no reason Mordin couldn't have been a strong biotic. If they'd written him as one, then that's what he'd have been. Just like how now he's been written to not be one at all.

It seems like half the team were biotics. Miranda, Jacob, Jack, Thane, Samara... 5/10 or 5/12.
Need some diversity in the team. Mordin was the only one with Incinerate and Cryo Blast, both good powers.
