Anyone going to talk about Mexicans? .. No? Alright then.

Uhh what's an "American type" personality? I must have been disconnected from the American hivemind or something.

Reading this thread? Cheeseburgers, evidently.

America doesn't really have a culture. Blacks have a culture. America has tv and John Wayne. Neither really amount to much.

America had Jefferson, Washington and Franklin. It still needs more culture than that?

Oh boy. I just got done with a good ol fashioned mexican-**** drag. Its where I drag any mexicans or queers or mexican queers behind my monster truck, I usually do it while eating my fourth donut-ham-hamburger. Thats a hamburger with ham and with doughnuts instead of bread. Well I got out of my truck and waddled my 500 pound carcass over to the dead queer-mexicans and ate them while singing the star-spangled banner. God what a bee-utiful song, God bless America. I then read my bible and rolled downstairs into my computer room for some good ol fashioned american porn and I noticed this thread.

That's not culture. Those are historical figures.

This thread has no purpose. I think mods keep it alive for entertainment value.

Well basically Australia, Canada and the USA are populated by immigrants. So their language changed from the original english to something a bit 'adepted', what people would call slang. For my german ear it is easier to understand an american or canadian than someone from the UK. I guess because the pronounciation of words in immigrant countries changed due to non-english speaker's trouble to pronounce words properly. So you can say outlandish influence in the english language makes it easier for foreigners to understand Posted Image

Really, what is the point? Americans can cope with a game that doesn't reflect American accents or values, can't they?

I think Bioware knows this already. DA2 doesn't need any Americans.

Yes.

That could be a joke if you weren't so blatantly anti-America in earlier posts, despite your claim of being American.

Anyhow, a mod has already warned you and others to keep the country bashing out.

Will a javelin do? We;re trying to get rid of them and they're a little to much to clear houses with.

Ok, lets be philosophical shall we? America has tremendous influence on entertainment and the arts. It's inescapable. As a result, the same familiar ideas and tropes get perpetuated, time and time again. I personally value individuality. I like Anime and foreign films, and things that have taken root and blossomed outside of the all-pervasive American influence.

I'm asking one thing here. That DA2 be allowed to gestate outside of American influence. Surely, this request isn't dealing some mortal blow to Americans everywhere. I think we can all handle it.

Uhhh... sure....

You should keep in mind though Bioware is looking to make money and generally speaking the best way to do that is to tell individuality to go **** itself and play to the biases of the biggest consumer.
