I don't care if they put a black person in DA2 but it has to make sense in terms of the world. Rivaini are dark-skinned, and so are Qunari but in a different way.
Soooo you're saying the Qunari have become verdigris-ed?
If so, then yeah, they look kind of like that with a more "night elf blue" color in them. I was just trying to identify that their skin is bronzed, and it is obviously not orangish, so I compared it to the statue of liberty which is greenish blue
"Verdigris is the common name for a green pigment obtained through the application of acetic acid to copper plates[1] or the natural patina formed when copper, brass or bronze is weathered and exposed to air or seawater over a period of time." ~from Wikipedia
Why the Statue of Liberty is that color.

On a personal note, I practically glow in the dark but the environment I grew up in was very diverse. I like seeing diversity represented because it looks and feels true to me.

The topic itself is kind of pointless. What barriers? What the hell? There's likely going to be dark skinned characters popping up at some point. Like the devs say, the first game was set in an area like medieval Europe, the next one isn't as much. And as yet more people have stated, your character could have been dark skinned in Origins anyway!

if it makes sense i'm all for it. origins had someone from orlais, someone from antiva, and a qunari. it would make sense to have a full blooded rivaini in da2. i would not be surprised if an npc or two is black. doing it just for the sake of fitting a quota is kinda insulting to black people, in my opinion.
Ujum, but luckily in the lore they already put a country with black people.

Having a darker skin tone does not make them blackNKKKK wrote...

Well no, they are brown. If they were black they would look like they had coal rubbed on there faces.

Oblivion had blacks.Seemed pretty natural to me. In fact, Cloud Ruler Temple was Japanese. So I don't see why blacks or other races cant exist in DA universe.
Because Oblivion had an entire area dedicated to the culture. Dragon Age does not.

Except that the Free Marches is explicitly described as a place where you run into people from everywhere. So I would be surprised and disappointed if we didn't see the diversity that is described when talking about the place actually represented when we visit it.Dave of Canada wrote...

The problem is, there's no known area in all of Thedas consisting of black people. Even if you met everybody from everywhere, you wouldn't encounter somebody that doesn't exist.
