lets face it the next dlc will be the last, scine gamerscore can only go to 1750...heres what i think it should be..

considering the fact that people want to see the wardens quest END..the final dlc should be about your warden heading to the deep roads so he can battle the darkspawn as his death grows near..

it could start with you and possibly alistar(lohgain) if they survived, saying their final goodbyes, if you had a relashionship with a character you can say goodbye one last time..

anyway you make your way to ozamar and you and alistar are the only ones in the deep road...the rest of the game is you and alistar slashing at every darkspawn in sight...that is until your health potions, injury kits, and willpower run out, and your health is slowly drained by the oncoming darkspawn...and you die..

as you and alistar lay on the ground lifeless the dlc ends with the companions mourning their freinds and alistar and the warden meeting the maker and being rewarded for their heroics..thus ends the wardens tale.

the dlc could last probaly around 40 to 60 minutes..and cost 400 points..sure the dlc is short it its a great way to end the wardens tale..

achievments could be

1.say goodbye to your companions..15 points
2.survive the oncoming darkspawn for 10 minutes...35 points
3.finish the dlc... 50 points

do ou tink this is a good dlc idea that could end the wardens tale

The next DLC is supposed to be about Morrigan and from what I've heard in the DA2 forums, Bioware intends to keep on churning out a few more DLC after that one.

Also, a "Warden goes to his Calling DLC"... DO NOT WANT!

huh..i guess future dlc will either have no achievments or have only 30 points of it. where did you hear it would be about morrigan

and why is expirencing the calling a bad thing

I play on the PC why does this gamerscore limit how many DLCs I can install? Also the common rumour is the next DLC is Morrigan related so it might be little late for ideas on what it should be, no?

As for your idea it's an end, much like getting a DLC that had The Warden crushed to death by a giant boulder upon purchase. A Warden's Calling usually takes 30 years to start so this is both far in the future and doesn't really close off say the Old God Baby loose thread. In addition why is it only Alistair who goes with The Warden, he can hate the player's guts and still be King or just simply alive for that matter along with the PC. The fundamental problem with any Calling related DLC is that it would either have to be within the present and therefore give The Warden a really cappy deal at the whole lifespan thing since you live like what 2 years after you're joining or it has to be after the events of DA2 when said game has not come out and you can't reference any of the world changing events it has created. I would say those two plot problems probably kill the idea right then and there, since it would never be fully fleshed out and never actually do The Warden's story justice.

My Warden's story ended in Origins. I like it that way because anything that comes after that I can make it up. Also, my Warden's plan is to use Avernus' research so that she can learn to control the taint (if it means sacrificing other Wardens, we can go recruit any criminals sentenced to death).

So no Calling for her.

I think it's a nice idea - but not likely for a DLC because of the reasons people have mentioned. And I wouldn't be surprised if the DLC keeps cranking out at this rate right up until (and possibly even AFTER) DA2 comes out.

Ummm are basing this off the Xbox 360 version of the game because of gamer score?

You do know that Dragon Age was origenaly designed for PC and that a seperate company handles the ports/conversion to consoles right?

Using your thought process because score/achivements can go up as much as you want on PC will get much much more DLC.

Theres at least two confirmed DLC for the furture, a Morrigan one and a pre-quel to Dragon Age 2.

sounds interesting but how would they bridge the gap of 29 years?

In my first playthrough I let Alistar sacrifice himself, as did many others. So you would need to find an NPC that could not be killed in the original story. Nothing upsets RP'ers more than changing the story the way they played it through...So no Duncan, or Alistar, ect.

Wait! Zombie Alistar, (as long as he stays downwind).

I don't see why the game couldn't just read your save and know if Alistair/Loghain was alive or not.

There's no way Loghain makes it to your Calling. He's too old.

Paragon, yes, but even if you're a DN who picked Harrowmont then you couldn't hope to become King until Harrowmont died and not enough time has passed for that to happen.

Well, not enough time has passed for it to happen naturally, perhaps.

Of course, the fantasy version of 9mm heart failure can strike at anytime of one's life.

The epilogue slides make it clear that it's not obvious he didn't die naturally so it would have to be poison.

I like this idea. My only problem with making stuff up is when it conflicts with something official down the road...

That's why I really don't want for the Warden to have any major involvement in future installments or any involvement at all. A reference here and there might be nice but nothing that will force them into a certain path. It's the reason why I'm probably one of the few who actually liked the open ended epilogue slides from Origins and isn't desperate for an "appropriate ending" for the Warden's story. You can take your story anywhere you want from there.

It's also why I strongly prefer to play Awakening with an Orlesian. My Warden doesn't want to be Arlessa so I don't like to force that role into her.

The gap between the ending of Origins and the Warden's Calling which won't occur until 30 years.

Oh my... I would pay for that. That's a GREAT idea.
