Wait, wait, wait. Everyone, you're wayyy overthinking this. The answer is obvious.

Quarian suits have special valves, one in the very top of the helmet and two in the bottoms of the boots. They plug in to special "washing alcoves", where purified water (along with minerals and some type of specially-formulated soap) is pumped through the suit. There's a special bypass hose so that the suit's occupant can breath while his or her head and face is being washed. Then, warm dry air is circulated through the suit and the Quarian returns to business as usual. The entire process takes about a half-hour, and the water is recycled and re-purified to use again.

So the times when she is shot, she doesn't bleed? And nothing gets in? Those are some crazy-strong shields.

Yeah, unfortunately it is what I come to find out since joining here yesterday, with anything topic related to Tali. Just found the old Tali thread that was locked. Over 10K pages worth. Seems like it was one of the most popular threads here. Seems some Mod, (Woo) got all bent out of shape and locked it. Now if he would have just done his job before things got out of hand, (hand out warning and suspensions) maybe he would not have had to lock the thread. But then again, seems to me this Mod is biased, judging from his last post there, and would have found another reason anyway for locking it.
Yeah I will most likely be banned after this post. But I sent Woo two mature and kind PMs, asking what had happened to the older thread and why mine was locked, after only being created yesterday and lasting one hour before that was locked. His answer you ask? Nothing! No replies. Just him being an SOB with the iron fist mentality. So Woo, I got the old thread copied and will be sending it to the higher ups in Bioware, and see what they have to say about your iron fist approach here. Have a nice day.:D

Sterile environments don't make sterile people. I'd maybe wear a suit too...

Before you complain to his boss just realize something. The Tali thread as been something of a recurring thing here and that thread was crazy derailed. Woo warns the/us Tali fans every time is about to lock a thread, and every time people ignore him and stay off topic. I can completely understand if he is fed up right now because I would be. I'm a mod on another site so I know what he's going through :P

Anyway, he said that the Tali thread is taking a break for now, and he'll probably let it back in a few more days/weeks.

This was mentioned in Ascenscion, they have special compartments for the toilet that are flushed at a toilet. As for the shower,I expect that she'd have to take immuno-boosters, disinfect and then shower quickly.

Actually Quarians are the cleanest species in the Galaxy. Their enviro suits protect them from any diseases and bacteria. No bacteria, means no stench.

woah, nice job dude, I just got on and I didn't have enough time on here to be able to post on any Tali thread even though shes (one) my favorite characters in the game. (Joker, Garrus, Mordin, Chambers cuz she feeds mah fishies) I honestly don't know why people are so biased against Tali fans, shes a good character. I do agree it has recently been getting out of hand though, what with ALL of the Tali drawings (crying elf...has anyone seen that one?) fan fics, not that I don't like them...its just some of them are like...wow

anyway, on the threads topic...I guess Quarians just like to stay concealed within their envirosuits...like water, the air, the people anything and everything outside of the migrant fleet and the suit is just not healthy for a Quarian. If I'm correct (not sure) Quarians wear their suits around each other, basically I guess its just a precaution, I think even a Quarian would need a shower too with the production of natural oils and such, but I think it could be built into their suit somehow like everything else is.

Humans have over 100 kinds of bacteria living on their skin.  Now admittedly, I can't imagine what 300 straight years in cleanroom conditions would do to the normal flora on quarians' skin (if such a parallel exists), but IRL people who are severely immunocompromised are far more likely to get sick from outside opportunistic pathogens which are not normal flora (i.e., yeasts, Cryptosporidia, etc.).  If quarians do have such bacteria already living on or within their bodies, the suit would not protect against them.

Well yeah, Quarians probably do have some kind of bacteria on or inside their skin, but I think it would be a really weak bacteria and they would probably have fewer kinds of bacteria living on or in them...lets say something like 10 different kind of bacteria. These would probably be immune to the type of antibiotics that Quarians use considering they use antibiotics a lot and the Quarians would probably be used to these kinds of bacteria considering they have been subjected to these for 300 years. Simply put, if a species spends 300 years in the same environment, everything else outside of that environment becomes harmful in some way, but everything inside of that environment is perfectly fine.

I just think of it like suits from Dune. That seems to make the most sense. I have little doubt that quarians have a clean/sensible way to deal with waste and clean themselves. It only makes sense that they would as otherwise, they would be risking infection. I would hazard that quarians are probably one of the cleanest races in the galaxy. They have to be. To be otherwise risks death. And as for all this "Tali can't clean herself" and "quarians are covered in poo" and crap like that, I would just ignore it. 90% of the time there is a troll behind those statements anyway. If those people can't see that that makes NO sense given the lore of the ME universe than there is no sense contending with them. Now discussing the particulars of how that sanitation system works is fine, but don't bother wasting time trying to convince trolls who are just poking at Talimancers anyway. There's a lot of lame people on these forums who get their jollies from Tali hate (or more specifically being rude buttholes to Tali fans.) They are not worth dignifying with responses.

If quarians didn't have a fairly healthy bacteria community inside their suits, then what's the big deal about linking suit environments. Sorry, but there's no getting around Tali's stanky cooch.

#1. There is bacteria in Quarians but less than there are in humans, its like us humans meeting with a species that calls staphylococcus and streptococcus a bacteria that they're accustomed to and that they have all over their bodies, obviously that is going to be a little alarming to us and we are going to need some protection against that species.

maybe her suit applies lysol... or something regularly.... I mean that suit can do anything, from cleaning air, feeding, pooping... shielding... has more pockets that we can see..... so why not automatic apply of deohdorant... or industrialize air fresherner

Hah, I love how some bait draws all the trolls out of hiding. You see what I mean?  This is a non-issue that is mostly only circulated amongst Tali haters.

Do quarians sweat? Likely. Do they have bacteria on their skin? Possibly. Is there some reasonable/reliable way for them to regularly clean themselves? Definitely or they would die.

woa, they all just now posted like they were a group of troll-ninjas just lurking, waiting to strike lol

wheres that Volus with the ban hammer?

Quarians probably do have some kind of way to shower with clean water, I saw a post that I think described it.
