For some reason killed nearly 700 darkspawn and this achievement (360) will not unlock any ideas why. Ive killed around 300 with my main character alone, getting a bit frustrating this

No, you're not alone. I'm at like 150 darkspawn kills and still no achievement. I've also heard several people saying that they're not getting the Master Warden or Blight-Queller achievements too.  I just got the game (for 360, had the PC version since launch) a few days ago, and I'm guessing it's a problem with a recent patch or something.  Maybe they changed it so your actual character has to get the kills, or was it always like that? I swear on the PC version I got this achievement pretty quickly.

I just got the Master Warden one.. Had to kill like 900 of them to get it to kick in. I think the new patch is bollix.

At least is what most people think it is what triggers the achievement.

The final blow is always made by the warden. You know, the cut scene and all. The achievement is supposed to happen when you let your warden die to save everyone.

Bug! On the PC the achievement Blight-Queller
states that you must kill 1,000 Darkspawn. However, you actually only
have to kill 1,000 enemies of any type. The PS3 version of this
achievement counts Darkspawn only. On occasion the Xbox 360 achievement
will not be granted no matter how many Darkspawn are killed. (08/04/10
1200 DS killed without second or third trophies) The PS3 version may
give Grey Warden late, and not give Master Warden/Blight-Queller at all. (4/21/10 1002 DS killed without second and third trophies.)

Ugh, I've been having trouble with these killing darkspawn achievements forever (the only 2 I have left in the game are Master Warden and Blight-Queller). I've been doing a solo playthrough because that seemed to be the only way to guarantee I got the kills. Just passed 500 kills (526 right now) and now luck. Not sure if I should just keep going and hope or just stop this playthrough right now (although this character who insists on doing everything by himself is pretty cool)

Your not the only one having achievement problems.

I managed to get the Dark Spawn killing achievements, but last night when playing through GoA I apparently had 3 achievements unlocked according to my bioware profile, but only the achievement for beating the Harvester on hard unlocked.

I know the Xbox achievement system has been a little buggy in the past but this is ridiculous.

well just completed anvil of the void and I am making sure i get the last blow, (bloody pesky shale keeps nickin a few lol). Already done nature of the beast and broken circle, ive finished off absolutely loads of darkspawn

I have done one play through with all the dlc and I am on my second play through to get the Alistair and logain sacrifices so I can get the related achievos but I am still stuck on Master Warden and Blight-Queller as well its frustrating as all hell.
